General Introction
I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Instrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graate program.
Ecation background
In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graate program waived of the admission test.
At the period of my graate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graation Thesis.
Research experience and academic activity
When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial proct.
In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

外企英语面试啥样子？

第一轮面试一般由公司人力资源部的人员担任考官，他们会从你的个人简历出发，询问一些有关个人的问题，比如请你用英语做一个自我介绍。有些公司，也会有一部分英语笔试，如雅芳公司，其笔试中包含一个中英互译的项目，主要考查应聘者基本的语言运用能力。

如何应对英语面试
英语从小开始学，可学了10来年，有的人还是“哑巴英语”。到了要找饭碗的紧要关头，则对一些“成功英语面试培训”饥不择食。其实，冰冻三尺，非一日之寒，速成是不可能的，只能在平时积累的基础上，注意一些细节，运用一些技巧，给自己加上几个成功的筹码。
首先，平时要注意训练听力，至少要听得懂考官的问题，如果考官一个问题出来，你却听得云里雾里，然后来两三个“Pardon”，那现场气氛定会急转直下。说话要流利，思维要连贯，层次要清晰，不要夹杂中文，可以用“well”、“however”这样的过渡词来给自己停顿和思考，同时，也使得自己的表述显得口语化一些。
其次，发音要标准。在与外国boss面谈的过程中，发音的正确清晰与否是最为重要的。不要因为害怕犯语法错误而不敢说，大多数时候一些细小的语法错误并不影响交际的进行，老外们也不会特别在意。如果要说某个词却一时想不起来，那就换种说法，尽量避免卡壳，卡壳会导致冷场。总之不管怎么样，都要自信满满地，把英文说得让人听上去像那么回事。
■先期准备
主要是个人情况和业务方面。专业英语的准备要充足，有时会被要求用英语解释一个专业术语或解答一个技术问题。还可去公司的英文网站了解一下企业文化，这在与bigboss面谈的中会有帮助的。
