Good morning everyone, my name's XXX, and I'm XX years old.
First of all, it is an honour for me to make a speech here. I have to admit that my English is not very good(假如说你英语真的不好的话你可以这么说), but I just want to challenge myself, I wonna be more confident, and I wonna be braver. I think today I stand here and speak in front of so many people, it has already prove that I've improve a lot, because in the past, I do not dare to say even a word in public.
Secondly, let me say something about myself. I was very shy when I was young, and I wasn't good at meeting new people. But when I enetered the secondary school(你可以根据你自己的年龄来说),my teacher gave me a chance. She selected me as the monitor of my class. At first I was very surprised! I didn't know what to do. But later I found that it was my parents who were worried about my shyness and wanted me to be braver, so they turned to my teacher for help. They wanted her to give me more chances to communicate with others so that I would not be shy when talking to others. The teacher helped me in many ways, she let me deal with the problem of our class, sometimes if I really couldn't do it she would help me with it together. Graally, I became popular among the students, they all wanted to know me, to be friends with me because they thought I was a man(girl) of ability.
Now I can stand here and give you all the speech, it all has to thank to my teahcers and calssmmates.
Thirdly, I have a lot of hobbies,too. I like collecting stamps, playing cards, singing, dancing, and all kings of sports. I also take part in many social activities. I go to orphanages to play with the orphans and try not to let them feel lonely, I also go to visit the olds whose couple have passed. I read newspapers for them, tell them stories, and listen to their troubles and try to help them with it.
As Shanghai Expo Exihibitions will be held in three years, and Beijing Olympic Games will be held next years, I will try my best to study hard, especially English, to help our country become the most successful host ever since. But one of the most important thing is you must trust yourself and do your best!
Never to give up because nothing is impossible!
