This is how birthday parties began.
At first it was only kings who were recognized as important enough to have a birthday celebration (maybe this is how the tradition of birthday crowns began?). 3. 年份（对应介词in）
（1）四位数的年份
分成两组来读，前两个数为一组，后两个数为一组，每一组的数字都按基数词来读：

（2）三位数的年份
先读第一位，再把后两个数合为一个数来读：

NOTICE：用的频率比较高的单词读法和写法都比较简单，这是因为如果单词太复杂，就会在使用过程中被简化，上边提到的年份读法也是如此。比如2008 会被简化为：two thousand eight。
