He worked very hard and became sick. Dr Bethune died in 1939. He was only 49 years old. He was a good man and we remember him today.

鲁宾逊漂流记：Robinson Crusoe is a beautiful novel that was written by Daniel Defoe, it was first published in 1719. It was arguably the first novel to ever be published which is no suprise given the date! The book really is superbly written throughout and I found it a real pleasure to read. The novel is about 270 pages and contains an epilogue. Daniel Defoe is seen by many to be one of the most famous writers in English Literature and after reading this novel it is easy to see why; I would really recommend it. The novel is actually a fiction autobiography about the man named Robinson Crusoe. He is a man who is the sole survivor of a shipwreck just off Venesuila and he encounters many things across his journey before actually being rescued. He is stranded on an island that is no way near any ships and the island is completely unihabited. Robinson Crusoe can't stand it at first but he then manages to make this horrible island into a paradise of his own. He was stranded on this island for 24 years with out any company but he then one day rescued a prisoner and things change. The novel is supposedly based on facts and so is a fictional novel. I really found the plot line to be superb throughout the novel and I found it easy to follow. The novel is beautifully written and very well structured really adding to the excellence. If you like tropical island get away novels or films rather like "The lord of the flies" I would really recommend this novel. I hope this was useful and thank you very much for reading.

第一项要记的就是单词。学语言，无疑要记很多东西。词汇是一门语言的基础。学版习英语的重权中之重就是词汇的掌握。有了单词，才会有句子，有了句子才会有文章，最终才能掌握这门语言。那么海量的单词，记住才是关键。方法有很多，找最适合自己的。我背单词的时候，有很多方法，最主要就是根据读音来拼写。只要记住它的读音，基本就能掌握它的拼写。特殊的情况再特殊记忆。在写单词的时候，脑子里先反映出来的是它的读音，自己根据它的读音“写”出来，而不是背出来。如果单纯地机械地背字母组合，很容易忘记。很多同学背单词都是一遍一遍地重复字母组合。比如：背单词“and”，他就会一遍遍地念and,and ,a,n,d,and我个人不主张这种方法。比如说音译、联想等等。比如这个例子：灰尘(st)。我把它联想为“打死他”的音译，这样就很好记了。还有，根据已有的简单单词，记住新的单词。比如这个例子：知道猴子（monkey）这个单词，把“m”换成“d”就成了驴子（donkey），就变成了一个新的单词。还有很多这样的例子，在此不再列举。除了抽出专门的时间背单词，平时应该利用好琐碎的时间来学习单词，积少成多。
