Ⅰ 适合初一的英语读物
《中学生网络英语》（1-4）是一套原版引进的英文书籍，语言地道、内容丰富、练习题很新颖、很实用，是非常好的课后阅读。
外语的学习，选择原版、地道的语言素材是首要的。原版的阅读，无论是对于学生的校内考试、还是日常生活中的实际应用都明显优于国家统编的教材。原因很简单、统编的教材语言的内容太狭隘、太注重所谓任务型教学的原则、到了通常的课堂教学中又偏重语法和语言点的讲解、学生真正获得的语言能力基本就是应试的能力（这个应试的能力也只是国内的考试而已、真正到了留学国外是没有用的）。而国外的语言素材是接地气的、和生活息息相关、很容易为学习者接受、也很容易成为学习者自己的语言能力。

每篇后面的练习也很好。首先是为语篇中的句子填写空缺的词、再用语篇中的词汇用到新的语句中、再回答语篇内容理解的问题，都是在文中找寻内容，这样的学习过程，很容易熟练语篇内容，学生是很喜欢的。
2009年南京外国语学校的初中招生英语能力测试，首篇Kiwi鸟是考到的阅读内容之一、还有关于北极熊等常识的内容。不仅如此，近年的中考和高考的英语阅读，很多素材都是选自原汁原味的英语文刊，这是很有益于学生的非常好的导向。
如何阅读原版文章？内容第一！
这个和阅读中文的故事书是一样的。阅读中文故事书、读者看的也是内容、不可能是不停地查找其中的生字词、分析词句语法结构。
阅读后有不懂的词汇需要查阅的、学生自己可以查英文词典。可以配备“牛津高阶英汉双解词典”（最新版本）。
想要升学重点初中的六年级学生可以读一读、做一做《中学生网络英语》第一册。

At first it is extremely hard, you need to push yourself to finish. Eventually, just as your body grows used to the sweat and effort, your mind will also adjust and welcome the challenge. In fact, people who exercise regularly feel terrible when they don't have an opportunity to exercise! You can develop the same kind of relationship with difficult articles! You can use them to nourish your mind and your spirit until you reach the point where you feel lost without them.

The poor are very wonderful people. One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. "I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die like an angel, loved and cared for." And it was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that, who could die like that without blaming anybody, without cursing anybody, without comparing anything. Like an angel-this is the greatness of our people. And that is why we believe what Jesus had said: I was hungry, I was naked, I was homeless, I was unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and you did it to me.

书虫很好，多是精简版的（缩减了一部分）名著。适合中学生看。而且还有中文对专照和单词注释。属
每天听录音也很好。可能效果会比天天做题好很多。
如果有条件看去看原版的格列夫游记或者一些优秀的英文原著。一般越是经典的作品行文都很简单精辟。能用简单的词就不会用复杂的词，能用简单的结构就不会用复杂的结构。但是文章却能把意思表达的很明确清晰。
一步一步慢慢来，初中生可塑性还很大，正是学习的好时机。

就我个人意见来说《英语角》还是不错的，内容有点像剧本，主要是通过人物之间的对话这种方式去提高口语（表达）能力的——每一篇东东都有列举相关的句型句式并进行剖析，而且针对不同的对话背景有相关的背景介绍（文化）。中英对译。难度不大，适合初中生阅读（阅读年龄：14～20岁）
《英语画刊》（初一～初三）

《疯狂英语中学版》我还是觉得难度稍微大了点，而且可读性不太强（我买过一本，但觉得没有兴趣去看）
也不妨可以考虑一下报纸：《二十一世纪学生英文报》有初一～高三版，以阅读材料为主，而且分为8个版面－主版（热点），时事频道，青春校园（讲述校园故事），知识之窗（2版），轻松阅读，英语加油站和文娱空间。最重要的是它的内容与课本内容完全无关，不像《英语周报》《英语辅导报》那样，它旨在提高阅读能力和词句积累，而且有阅读提示"teens点金”——包括中考词汇、考点看台、拓展词汇、真题演练等等，我觉得这个挺不错，强烈推荐，订了2年了..
