㈨ 如何阅读一本原版英文小说
需要三个条件：
第一，自不量力的勇气
有很多人总是觉得自己的英语水平不好，总是觉得阅读英文原版书是自己无法企及的一个高度，其实我要告诉大家并不是这样。如果我一个高中英语满分150分我只能考75分的人能够做到，你们也一样能够做到。
在人生的某些节点上，自不量力也许是更正确的道路。
第二，行之有效的方法
第一步，坚持。
这里讲的坚持是狭义的坚持，什么意思？因为每位作者的文风都不一样，所以在看一本英文原版书的时候，前10%可能是最难熬的，你可能会觉得各种读不懂，但这个时候千万不能放弃。这个时候，哪怕你多翻字典，甚至对照中文译文，只要能看懂并且看下去，就可以（特别是那些你对剧情一无所知的书）。
相信我，大部分书，你把前面的10%坚持过去了，后面等待你的将会是一片全新的天地（如果一本书你看了20%还是觉得完全没感觉，那这本书可能真的不适合你）。
第二步，词汇。
根据我个人的经验，词汇量可以分成4000以下、4000-8000、8000-15000、和15000以上四个级别，每个级别的词汇量适合看的书显然也是不同的（这一点会在下文详述）。有人问词汇量在4000以下是不是就不能看原版书了？当然不是，其实正常情况下一个合格的初中毕业生就可以开始看一些简单的英文原版书。
关于词汇量的提升并不是我这里要说的重点，我想说的是如何在阅读原版书的时候用正确的方法学习单词。我们知道词典和词汇书都可以帮我们学习单词，但是两者都有缺点，都不能满足我们个性化的需要。
我今天要说的算是我多年采用并行之有效的一套方法，下图是我用来学习英文词汇的笔记截图.
这样记录词汇的好处有三：这样记录词汇的好处有三：
第一、嵌入式记忆，不再记忆孤立的单词，而是在情景中增加对单词理解的深度；
第二、每个单词配英文释义和经典例句，增加对单词记忆的同时也提升了对相应作品的理解；
第三、大家可以看到，在每个单词的右上角有frequency和register两栏：frequency指的是这个单词出现的频率是高、一般还是低；而register指的是这个单词的语域是正式、一般还是非正式。这样对写作和口语的提升也是显著的，比如写作时我们尽量要用书面化的表达，口语则刚好相反。
其实除了词汇之外，我们还需要学习一些句法。不过在本文中我就不详述了，今后有机会再另写一篇文章来详细解决这个问题。
第三步，阅读媒介及参考工具。
以前我们总是抱怨资源匮乏，但现在网络上的资源却是漫天飞，只有你不想要的，没有你找不到的。从媒介来看，阅读方式主要分为传统的纸媒书籍和现代的电子书籍。两种方式各有优点，纸质书拿在手中本身就是一种享受，而且更加方便翻页和记笔记；kindle等电子阅读器的话携带更加方便，而且完全百分比的量化更加适合规划阅读。
普通的词前者就可以搞定，而一些难词或者生僻义却只能依靠后者。这两本词典都是全英文的，不过不用担心，就算你只是初中水准，你也可以在前者中看懂你要查的单词的释义。
这两本书我都有纸质版（我超级喜欢前者的纸质版，后者纸质版中的字实在是看了要瞎），也都有电子版（电子版最大的好处就是方便，并且真人原声发音也能助大家的听力更上一层楼）。
第四步，规划及坚持。
没错，看英文原版书也需要合理的规划。如果你每天有大量的时间来阅读，那么你可以给自己定一个比较高的标准；如果你每天的时间非常有限，那么你可以把一本书拆分成多少等份，然后在规定天数之内消灭（这时候kindle的好处就体现出来了，它的百分比量化实在太好用，比如我忙起来的时候就给自己定了每天阅读一本书5%的计划）。
对于我们一般人来说，其实一年能看6本400页左右的原版书籍已经算是非常可以的成就了。这样算的话，就是每两个月看完400页左右，平均到每天的话，就是6-7页。如果我们真的想进步，不妨扪心自问下，每天6-7页的阅读量还算多吗？当然上面说的是最基本的量，大家可以根据自己的需求增减。
最后，也是最重的，就是广义上的坚持。不能我今天兴致来了，看它个30%；明天太累了，看个3%吧；后天又觉得很累，干脆不看了吧。如果是抱着这样的心态，别说是看英文原版书，其它任何事你也都干不成，早点洗洗睡吧。还有，在阅读的初期，我强烈不建议看特别厚的书或者是把一本书分成太多天看完，因为那样你的冲劲会慢慢消散。在这个阶段，你其实迫切需要看完一本完整的书来获得强烈的成就感以自我激励。
第三，明辨是非的眼睛
克拉申的输入理论提到i+1这个概念，什么意思呢？i代表你目前的水平，i+1是你需要输入的水平，当你需要输入的水平比你目前的水平高一些，你才能得到最大程度的提升。这个理论用在阅读英文原版书上也同样适用，也就是说你要挑选一本适合你水平的书来开始你的阅读。怎样把握这个程度，我个人的经验是最好一本书中有70-80%的内容你能看懂，而20-30%的内容你不是很懂。这样不仅你看起来不吃力，而且能够获得最大程度的阅读快感和能力提升。
下面我就上文提到的词汇量的四个阶段分别推荐一些书（负责任的告诉大家这些书我都是看过的）：
允许我先吐个槽。我觉得现在网络上的很多阅读书单根本是不负责任，为什么这么说？因为也许那些写书单的人自己压根就没有看过那些书，推荐的要不就是古英语要不就是那种超难的大部头，绝大部分人根本看不下去。好，你装逼的目的达到了，可是结果呢？浪费了很多人宝贵的时间。

如果你真的连初中英语水平都达不到，但就是想过一过看英文书的瘾，或者希望能有一个不错的开始，那么，《书虫》系列可能会适合你。严格意义上来说《书虫》系列并不是原版书，它是经过改写的版本，但如果你能看的很溜，也就说明你距离能看真正的原版小说不远了.
