一、 教学准备的有效性
教学准备的有效性是有效教学的前提。教学准备的好坏直接关系到课堂的教学效果。新课程标准要求教师是一个决策者、创造者,而不仅仅是教材的执行者,所以教师在教学准备时,必须认真解读教材,明确教学目标和教学重难点,有效设计教学活动。
1.认真解读教材是有效教学准备的基础。例如,在解读人教版NSEC Mole1 Unit2的阅读文章“THE ROAD TO MODERN ENGLISH”时,教师要把握这是一篇说明文,主要介绍了英语在世界上的发展情况。教材安排这篇文章的目的不仅在于帮助学生了解英语的发展,学习说明文的结构,更重要的在于培养学生的探究思维。
2.明确教学目标和教学重难点是有效教学准备的核心。以人教版NSEC Mole1 Unit2的阅读文章“THE ROAD TO MODERN ENGLISH”为例,教师在认真解读教材的基础上,确定教学目标和教学重难点如下:

1.激活背景知识
背景知识是高中英语阅读教学中的一个重要环节。激活学生已有的背景知识可以培养学生的阅读兴趣。大量研究表明,一个低效的阅读者很难对所阅读的材料产生兴趣,更谈不上喜欢,其结果就是阅读量很小,阅读量小反过来使其在今后的阅读中很难理解相关材料,对材料的不理解又使他失去了继续阅读的兴趣,这样便形成恶性循环,反之则能形成良性循环。激活学生的背景知识还可以使其对阅读材料的理解更加透彻,从而获得更多的知识。这种知识的积累又为其以后阅读活动中背景知识的激活奠定更加坚实的基础,提高了学生的阅读理解能力。
激活背景知识的策略有很多种,比如,使用网络视频或图片资料,叙述与主题相关的故事,辩论法,提问法,小组讨论,预测课文内容等等。例如:人教版NSEC Mole1 Unit1的阅读文章摘自《安妮日记》,对于刚刚升上高中的中国学生来说,阅读这样一篇英文原著还是有相当的难度,因此教师在备课时要充分估计学生在理解上可能存在的困难。因此,在学习这一课时,教师可以根据需要使用网络视频和图片资料向学生介绍第二次世界大战中德国纳粹对犹太人的迫害及当时犹太人的悲惨命运,这样学生就能从时代背景出发思考安妮所面临的困境,在此基础上,再学习本课的文章,就不难理解安妮当时的心境和为什么将日记视为自己的朋友,从而深刻地领悟安妮日记的内涵。

例如:人教版NSEC Mole1 Unit4的阅读文章“A NIGHT THE EARTH DIDN’T SLEEP”讲述的是1976年7月28日凌晨发生在河北省唐山市的大地震。教材设计的目的是在训练学生阅读技能的基础上,让他们了解地震的有关知识,学习在地震或突遇的灾难中如何自救、救人。文章的主题有利于培养学生逃生的基本常识,减少或避免不必要的损失。教师可以此为教育契机,组织学生讨论“What do you think will happen before an earthquake?What should we do ?”,引导他们谈谈地震前可能发生的一些异常现象及如何提前做好准备。这样,融德育于教学之中,不仅可以培养和提高学生运用语言的能力,还能使学生受到深刻的逃生教育。
三、教学评价的有效性

四、教学反思的有效性
教学反思就是教师自觉地把自己的课堂教学实践,作为认识对象而进行全面而深入的冷静思考和总结,从而进入更优化的教学状态,使学生得到更充分的发展,教学反思是一种有益的思维活动和再学习活动。
一节课上完,总有成功之笔和失败之处。教师可以将自己在教学过程中感受深刻的、达到预期效果的、好的做法及时地记录下来,以扬长避短,精益求精;而对于那些不尽如人意的地方,要分析其原因,找到解决问题的方法。及时地记录下这些成功和失败之处,进行取舍,使之成为日后教学的指导和借鉴。
总之,阅读教学是整个高中英语教学的重中之重。新课程改革的浪潮已经兴起,如何适应改革的要求,在新课程标准的指导下进行有效的阅读课教学的尝试和探讨,是广大教师应该认真思考的问题。课堂教学是一门很深的学问,具有极强的艺术性。课堂教学有效性的提高,有待我们去实践,去创新,去积累,长此以往,聚沙成塔,必有收获。
