Compared with other pagodas,Five-Pagoda Temple is unique in at least two aspects:its special structure, pagodas over pagoda, and the green and yellow colored glazes on the short eaves and tops of pagodas. Those make Five-Pagoda Temple quite special,a treasure of Hohhot City.

The Ming and Qing dynasties between the 14th and 20th century were its prime periods of garden building, when at onetime there were more than 200 private family gardens. Put that hair-dryer back right now
CHINESE travelling abroad can carry more than just clothes and cameras. They often carry expectations and odd habits — some of which get them into trouble.
Impatience, jumping the queue, poor table manners. These are just some Chinese tourists' habits that are giving China a bad name. And now the Chinese Government is starting to do something about it.
"China was closed 20 years ago. The world should give us some time to teach them about other countries," said Lu Yi, a manager in the outbound travel department at China International Travel Service.
In fact, the National Tourism Administration plans to publish an etiquette guide on proper manners for Chinese travelling abroad, China Daily reported last Saturday.
But while the government believes Chinese have a problem with their manners, other factors could also be to blame for the stereotype.
For instance, nearly two per cent of Chinese go abroad each year, according to 2005 statistics from the China National Tourism Administration. Most travel in low-price group tours of 15 to 40 people.
As a result, Chinese are more easily identified and judged as a group rather than as indivials.
Another reason for the stereotype of the ill-mannered Chinese tourist may be cultural bias.
Tang Yunpeng, 27, a Chinese who has been working in Singapore for five years, said that cultural expectations on both sides can proce a negative experience.
"We Chinese have kind of pride," he said. "But many foreigners have a strong prejudice against Chinese as well. The important thing is to understand and be understood."
Whatever the case may be, many believe the government's guide to good manners will have a positive effect.
Whirlwind tour
Former New Zealand hotel restaurant manager Emma Moore, 34, says she never saw anything that "blew her mind". But she does admit that Chinese tourists did have a bad reputation at the Glacier Country Hotel in Fox Glacier, New Zealand.
They cooked rice in their rooms, left trash on the floor, smoked in the rooms and yelled for restaurant servers.
"You have to respect the culture of the places you're at," Moore said. "You can't live in a bubble."
Ivan Chuang, a US graate student from Taiwan, was impressed by the Chinese mainlanders he met on a recent tour. He paid US$350 for a whirlwind tour of New York City, Washington DC, Boston and Philadelphia last spring.
He still remembers the Chinese tour guide's opening speech: "When you find towels, hair dryers and alarm clocks in the hotel room, don't take them. If you want them, you have to buy them at a department store."
But Chuang, 30, said everyone behaved well: "I got a good impression of the people on my tour. That's not what I had heard about people from the Chinese mainland."

etiquette: 礼节
stereotype: 成见

Here's how some international media look at Chinese tourists
"The most recent followers of the 'ugly Americans', who were seen in Europe in the '50s and '60s, and the free-spending Japanese tour groups, seen with their cameras everywhere in the '70s, are today's travellers from the Middle Kingdom. They are seen as a pushy, constantly smoking, hard shopping group. And, they may be difficult to adjust to."
USA Today, September 7, 2006
"In the same way that loud Americans attract glances from sophisticated people in Paris, Chinese tourists have gained a reputation in Southeast Asia. They are seen as loud, impolite with table manners, and leaving much to be desired. Even tour operators admit that Chinese customers can be rude and bossy when they hit the road."
The Christian Science Monitor,
January 4, 2006
"The Chinese were well-prepared. They were armed with paper cutouts of their relatives' feet. They headed straight for the shoes at the Clarks shop, among a collection of factory outlets near Oxford that was visited by a group of 2,000 Chinese sales representatives this month. They bought up to six pairs of shoes each and the queue stretched out of the door."
The Guardian, June 27, 2005

答案是A。 但是“A very low one-way far is possible through advanced booking”意思是要使单程票低就尽可能地提前订票。第二种方式Rail trips,最后一句“The earlier you book ,the more you save”你买得越早,节约的越多! 最后一句“but early bird sales can even lower the far”早买的人甚至有更低的票价。

Scotland is a unique and austere place, laden with history, where you can find aristocratic palaces and castles, as well as the traditional parades in national costumes. It has some of the most beautiful cities in Europe, a living testimony of a proud and splendid past.
In order to see and discover the true soul of Scotland today, what forged the character of this splendid region, we have to go towards the northern regions, to the Grampian Mountains. Beautiful and unspoiled, it was difficult to farm. The Scots subed the environment with simple spades and strong arms.
The history of this ancient struggle, and its people's ancient love affair with the hard land, is enclosed within the walls of the Angus Folk Museum. You are able to get a feel of the typical rural atmosphere of times past from the everyday artifacts displayed here.
From coastal Aberdeen in towards the interior of the Grampian Mountains there runs the Castle Trail, a road that touches on many fortresses, which are witnesses of continual revolts against the dominion of neighboring England in Scottish history.
Perhaps the most uplifting moment for Scottish autonomy is the one experienced inside this ancient abbey of Arbroath, where, in 1320; the Declaration of Independence was celebrated, at the instigation of King Robert the Bruce. He carried out the plan for autonomy drawn up by the great popular hero William Wallace, to whom cinema has dedicated the wonderful film "Braveheart", the winner of five Oscars.
This is Glamis Castle. It is often remembered for being the residence of King Macbeth and Queen Elizabeth in her childhood. Among the most assious guests here are the inevitable ghosts, which are nourished, if not actually created, by ancient popular beliefs. These have been handed down over the centuries by a people inclined to live with mystery, with the forces of the supernatural.
Another attraction here is a legendary monster: the Loch Ness Monster. Is it real or imaginary, this monster, which has been nicknamed Nessie, has collected a good 3000 sightings over the last 50 years? To fuel the debate about the monster, and perhaps also curiosity about the lake, a price of 500,000 pounds sterling has been put on Nessie's head.
The true flag of Scotland, tartan, is recognisable from the brightly coloured plaid patterns which are used to distinguish the various clans. Over the last few decades this fabric has made a comeback and is part of the daily life of this country.
The typical Scottish garment, the kilt, is de rigeur when the Scots play the Great Highland bagpipes, especially when they march in parades.
Bagpipes and dancing open the competitions of local sporting events, which are called Highland Gatherings. The games, which have strange rules, involve a spirit that has more to do with brute force than with athletics.

Vatican City
Vatican City is an independent state under the absolute authority of the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. It is an enclave with Rome, Italy, with an area of 44 hectares (109 acres)。 The smallest independent country in the world, Vatican City was established in 1929 under terms of the Lateran Treaty, concluded by the Italian government and the papacy after many years of controversy. This treaty was superseded in 1984 by a new concordat, which, like its predecessor, recognized the full sovereignty of the Holy See (the jurisdiction of the Pope) within the state of Vatican City.
Vatican City is situated on Vatican Hill in northwestern Rome, just west of the Tiber River. It is surrounded by medieval and Renaissance walls and has six gates. Many of the most renowned artists and architects of the Italian Renaissance were commissioned by Popes to work on the Vatican's buildings. The most imposing and important edifice is Saint Peter's Basilica. Built for the most part between the 15th and 17th centuries, and designed by artists, including Bramante, Michelangelo, and Bernini, it is the world center of Roman Catholic worship. In front of the basilica is the great Piazza San Pietro (Saint Peter's Square)。

What images come to mind when you think of a trip to Venice? No doubt you imagine yourself taking a romantic gondola ride along narrow canals and under delicate bridges. Perhaps you picture the beautiful old buildings and famous works of art that have made the city one of Europe's leading tourist spots.
Venice was built on more than 100 islands and has about 150 canals. The best-known of these, the Grand Canal, functions as the“main street”in the part of the city most popular with visitors. The canal winds through each of the six districts that comprise this historic city center before reaching Venice Lagoon.
One of these districts, San Marco, is home to many of Venice's main attractions, including St. Mark's Basilica. This spectacular church has five main arches and some extraordinary onion-shaped domes. It is decorated with priceless treasures, many of which were stolen from other countries when medieval Venice was a leading sea power.

Air travel has two advantages over train travel. First, it can save much time.We can fly from Beijing to Guangzhou jusi in two hours, but by train, we have to spend 24 hours or more. Second, air travel is more fortable, because the plane flies so *** oot qly that we can rest well ring the trip, while the train is crowded sometimes and passengers have to sit for a long time, which makes them tired. But train travel also has its advantages. For example, traveling by train costs only 250 yuan while traveling by air will cost 900 yuan.Besides this, outside of the train’s windows, we can enjoy the views of many big cities, such as Zhengzhou, Wuhan,ad Changsha.
So I think different people like different ways of traveling.

With tens of thousands of trees surrounding you, straight or winding, tall or short , you feel like floating on the ocean of green.
All kinds of fragrant flowers lie peaceful and shy under the leaves. Take a close look at them , and you can even see the fresh drops of water ,which makes the flowers look like beautiful girls who have just had a bath. The most enjoyable thing is to feel the thick fog among the whole forest, which makes the view of the living creatures disappear at times. When the sun es up, the fog rises at once .The dreaming image is then replaced by the lively scene. A wide variety of birds are singing happily in the trees. Lots of little animals are running busily across the paths. Wander in the forest, you will have the feeling of returning to nature. Well, in addition to enjoying the scenery on the ground, keep an eye out for the sky! The clear blue with pure white will give your eyes a feast .
