When they had done so, he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They each tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it.

写了这篇《2岁孩子学英语意义不大?14岁孩子的妈妈告诉你,将来有多省心》文章之后,有很多妈妈问我,能不能推荐一些英语启蒙读物,不知道该给孩子看什么,怕孩子不喜欢,坚持不下去。
我简单回答了一下,妈妈们还是会感觉云里雾里,索性就用一篇文章来详细介绍下吧, 多了解一些书籍,少走一些弯路。
对于2-6岁的孩子来说,最好的英语读物是 绘本和分级读物 。
绘本虽然精美、含义丰厚,但是比较昂贵,不成系统,不太适合用于主要启蒙读物。大家可以买一些经典绘本,作为收藏,给孩子反复看。其余的绘本最好找一家英文绘本馆,进行借阅,可以让孩子进行广泛阅读,吸收更多的词汇。
分级读物就不同了,基本上是软装,不像绘本那么精致。故事简单,引导意义稍显逊色,但是 非常成系统 。由易到难,孩子一级一级地读下去,压力不大,逐步提升能力,英语水平不知不觉得到提高。
盖兆泉老师说过,绘本如诗歌,分级读物如教材。一个具有欣赏性,一个具有学习性。启蒙时,当然还是拿教材听、看更合适。等语言积累到一定程度,才能欣赏诗歌。
我家大宝小时候就读过很多分级读物,像《国家地理儿童网络》《RAZ》《牛津阅读树》《丽声英语故事》《安妮花英语故事》等,现在14岁,英语从来不刷题,初二就过了中考关。
应家长的要求,把看过的英语分级读物整理了一遍,2-6岁孩子家长可以看过来了。
《国家地理儿童网络》 是外研社从美国引进的书籍,分为 入门级、提高级和流利级 ,适合4-16岁的孩子。
如果是父母给孩子读的话,年龄更小的孩子也喜欢看和听。二宝2岁的时候,我就给他看入门级,他特别喜欢,居然自发地读起来,有模有样的很有意思。
像这本《Look at the tree》,句式很简单,每页三个单词,只是后面的单词不同,图画是真实图画,孩子容易理解也容易听懂和跟读。
这套书属于网络性质,有物理、地球、太空、生命、工艺、技术、地理、 历史 、文化、经济等各方面 ,能让孩子积累自然、 社会 网络和生活常识方面的知识和词汇。
阅读的时候,遇到手工部分,可以和孩子一起做起来,让孩子有个感性认识,即动脑又动手,不枯燥,学到的还更多。
像这本《Making a hat》,做帽子的步骤清晰明了,孩子一边做一边说英语,帽子做好,英语水平也提高了。
不同级别的差别就是文字内容越来越多,句式越来越复杂,2-6岁孩子先看入门级就好。
为什么说它是教材呢,因为它不仅包括读物, 还有练习册、讨论卡、理解测试 ,让孩子通过多种形式理解教材,运用教材。
官网上有资源,也可以从一些网站获取电子版。 看电子版废眼睛,可以打印出来,当年我是一本一本打印的。
如果想省事,可以去购物平台看一看,有心人已经打印好还配了点读音频,很方便。每个级别大约90本书,数量相当大。
因为这套书是以学习为目的,图画简单,字体也不可爱,孩子起初可能不喜欢,但是读起来收获很大。 最好在孩子有了一定基础之后再读,降低难度。
牛津阅读树分为16个级别,1-9级是牛津阅读树的核心部分 ,都是贴近生活的小故事。故事围绕英国的一个家庭展开,爸爸妈妈、三个孩子还有一条狗,读来很轻松。
丽声英语 正好和典范英语互为补充 ,引进了另外五个系列,包括 Songbirds Phonics 、 Traditional tales 、 Snapdragons 、 Fireflies non-Fiction 、 Project X Code ,图多字大,适合孩子阅读。
丽声英语是外研社出版 ,配有点读音频,如果当地的教材是外研社教材,用这套很合适,因为点读笔都是通用的。我们这里小学到高中的教材全部是外研社的,一根点读笔用12年。
《安妮花磨出宝宝英文耳朵》主要是有韵律节奏的儿歌和童谣 ,适合给孩子听。不管是学中文还是学英文,给孩子听韵律节奏感强的内容,更容易引起孩子的兴趣。
这套书分为6个级别,1-4级包括60首英文儿歌、5-6级包括160首韵律诗歌 ,让孩子听到原汁原味的英语,提升孩子听力水平。
英语启蒙不管早晚,听说读写的顺序不能错,如果不知道给听那些儿歌童谣,这套就能解决你的困惑。
这套书是安妮鲜花团队,为解决中国孩子英语启蒙资源匮乏的问题,联合出版社从国外引进的,符合孩子的启蒙需求。
当初给大宝进行英语启蒙,可以说得意于安妮鲜花的引领。我们那时候流行在论坛里发帖子,把孩子的启蒙经历写在论坛里,有问题提出来,都能得到安妮鲜花的指导。
再后来了解很多英语相关的牛人、图书,都是从这里开始,所以这套材料也是我们当初的必选材料。
这套书分为 10个级别 ,目标是让孩子 掌握5000个词汇 ,从启蒙到自然拼读到自主阅读,螺旋式进阶,非常科学。
第一级到第三级共180本书,适合3-12岁阅读 。故事轻松有趣、画风可爱多样,让孩子在轻松愉悦的阅读体验中,自然习得1000个听力词汇。
主题内容非常丰富,包括数字、食物、动植物、颜色、人与自然、家庭生活、科普知识、衣着、天气、情绪、感官、身体部位、 游戏 和休闲、交通方式、社区、家具和家居、合作交流、学校生活等方方面面,能够提升孩子的综合能力。
配有拓展单词小 游戏 、CD和可点读的音频,家长可以灵活使用。
由英国著名分级阅读专家Cliff Moon主持编写, 有13个级别、26个套装,201本读物。
主题丰富,和《义务教育英语课程标准》相对应,让孩子把故事和网络结合起来。
画面也很 精美,低级别的图片以摄影图片为主,高级别逐渐由图片过渡到文字。
因为是外研社出版,也可以用外研社点读笔点读,这一点很方便。
第一级,包括30本书 ,学习26个字母和4个组合字母 的大小写和发音。配有字母童谣和书写顺序。
第二级,包括48本书 ,涉及幼儿日常生活,让孩子练习字母的发音 ,培养音素意识,接触一些高频词。
第三级,包括48本书 ,学习常用句型,理解句式和高频词的含义。
第四级,包括48本书 ,让孩子认识形容词,学习复数、比较级、时态、标点,由短句阅读过渡到长句阅读。
一看就是一套比较典型的教材,倒是比较适合孩子学英语。
预备级35本 ,针对3-5岁孩子,学习单词和词组,有200个词汇。故事主题丰富,名词众多。
基础级42本 ,针对5-7岁孩子,以学习句子为主,有300个词汇。让孩子从一个句子到五六个句子,由易到难学习基础句型。
提高级24本 ,针对7-12岁孩子,以阅读学习为主,有科普和幻想故事,难度增加,词汇量450个左右。
1级:共30册 ,适合幼儿园的孩子,词汇简单、押韵,字大图多,全彩插图,对英语启蒙有很大帮助。
2级:21本故事书+3本数学书+4本科学书+1本自然拼读书+1本写作启蒙书 ,有数学、科普、童话故事、神话故事,题材丰富,能让孩子学会拼读、猜词、写话,适合幼儿园和小学低年级的孩子。
3级:共30册 ,适合小学低年级,增加 历史 主题,让孩子提高文学水平、增长见识。
4级:有20册 ,适合小学高年级学生阅读,都是经典名作,比如泰坦尼克号、美人鱼等等。
另外,还有 《I can read》 系列,篇幅所限,在此就不一一介绍了,上面这些也足够我们启蒙甚至提升阅读能力使用。
至于选择哪一套分级读物好, 建议选择2-3套 ,包括网络系列和故事系列。比如 选择RAZ和牛津阅读树系列、悠游阅读成长计划 。大家可以根据价格、个人喜好,给孩子匹配分级读物。
还有一点要注意,对于2-6岁的孩子,属于启蒙阶段时, 分级读物是我们读给孩子听,或者让孩子听音频看书,而不强求孩子读出来 。
如果孩子特别喜欢,也可以读,不要着急。学习语言的顺序是听说读写,不要坏了孩子的兴致。

Reading is a pleasure of the mind, which means that it is a little like a sport: your eagerness and knowledge and quickness make you a good reader. Your experience, compared with his, brings you to the same or different conclusions, and your ideas develop as you understand his.
Every book stands by itself, like a one-family house, but books in a library are like houses in a city. Although they are separate, together they all add up to something; they are connected with each other and with other cities. The same ideas, or related ones, turn up in different places; the human problems that repeat themselves in life repeat themselves in literature, but with different solutions according to different writings at different times.
Reading can only be fun if you expect it to be. If you concentrate on books somebody tells you "ought" to read, you probably won't have fun. But if you put down a book you don't like and try another till you find one that means something to you, and then relax with it, you will almost certainly have a good time--and if you become as a result of reading, better, wiser, kinder, or more gentle, you won't have suffered ring the process.

Like most people, I was brought up to look upon life as a process of getting. It was not until in my late thirties that I made this important discovery: giving-away makes life so much more exciting. You need not worry if you lack money. This is how I experimented with giving-away. One discovery I made about giving-away is that it is almost impossible to give away anything in this world without getting something back, though the return often comes in an unexpected form. More than a year later I needed a post-office box for a new business I was starting. I was told at the window that there were no boxes left, and that my name would have to go on a long waiting list. As I was about to leave, the postmaster appeared in the doorway. He had overheard our conversation. “Wasn’t it you that wrote us that letter a year ago about delivering a special delivery to your home?” I said yes. “Well, you certainly are going to have a box in this post office if we have to make one for you. You don’t know what a letter like that means to us. We usually get nothing but complaints.”
