随着新课程改革的不断深入,英语教学中也越来越重视对学生阅读能力的培养。在教学实践中,阅读是英语综合实力的表现,它集语法、词汇、速度、准确度、思维和背景文化等于一身,是学生提高英语学习效率的一种实践过程,更是英语教学的重要组成部分。学生进入初三,阅读理解能力在英语教学中占有更加重要的地位,阅读能力的培养成为英语教学的重中之重。英语阅读教学的主要目的是教给学生正确的阅读方法、阅读技巧、培养学生的阅读能力,是吸收英语语言材料、增加语言知识、扩大词汇量的重要手段,而且阅读能力的提高能为英语口语交际能力和英语写作能力打下良好的基础,也为学生从英语阅读中认识学习英语的真正意义和价值,体验学习英语的乐趣,为学生树立学好英语的自信心打下坚实的基础。综观历年的考试题型,阅读理解都是重头戏,在各级各类考试中都占有很大的比值。
下面我就自己在日常教学中对阅读教学的具体做法谈几点体会。
一、 教会学生快速阅读的方法。
为了加强限时间阅读训练,提高阅读速度,可让学生学会读、学会浏览、学会默读,从而连贯阅读,学会悟意。
在阅读教学中,我们要从一开始就指导学生不要从头至尾一字不漏地读下去,而要采用跳跃式的阅读方法。用英语表达就是(Don’t read word by word, read word groups),在阅读过程中善于抓住文章中的关键词句和主题句,不要钻在文章的某些细节里,否则会影响全文大意的掌握。也不要无目的、无重点地阅读,而是要有目的、有选择地快速浏览。在浏览过程中,要有意识地寻找所有需要的信息。要学会默读,不出声地阅读可避免发音器官处于紧张工作的状态,以便集中精力理解文章的中心内容,加快阅读速度。它比有声阅读的读速快得多,还可以避免有声或无声朗读给人带来疲劳而影响注意力。此外,不要因个别生词而停顿或去查词典,而是通过文章的上下文或者构词等方法快速猜测出该词的意思,从而更快地了解文章的内容,加快阅读速度。通过上述阅读教学方法的训练,学生的阅读能力就会有明显提高。
二、 让学生养成良好的解题习惯。
在阅读文章的基础上,我们要引导学生快速阅读问题,并带着问题重新阅读文章,再次阅读那些没有答出的问题。必要的时候可以用笔将有用的信息标出来,这样可以节省寻找答案的时间。
三、 要有紧迫的时间观念。
阅读开始就要集中精力,不能松松垮垮,看多少算多少,看到哪里算哪里,这样阅读的话,效果就不太明显,也是不可取的。对此,我们一定要强调阅读的时间观念。
另外,在阅读教学中,我们一定要以自己正确的语音、语调作示范,同时要充分利用录音磁带所提供的标准地道的英语做示范,指导学生多听、多模仿,以便更有效地做好阅读。
总之,在阅读教学中,尽可能地给学生呈现丰富的、有趣的阅读材料,加强学生的语言输入量,按照有关教学大纲的要求,遵循中学生阅读能力的提高是一个长期的,循序渐进的过程,切忌操之过急。兴趣是动力,养成良好的阅读习惯是前提,必要的阅读技巧指导是关键,适量的课外补充是必需。所以,要想提高学生的阅读 理解能力,我们必须培养学生的阅读习惯,使他们掌握一定的阅读技巧,并结合课内外的阅读训练实践,认真分析学生阅读英语文章中存在的问题,根据不同的情况,采用不同的教学方法,才能使学生对英语阅读学习感兴趣,才能有法可循有样可学,积极学习,不断培养和提高学生的英语阅读能力。...>>

问题六:如何提高九年级学生英语阅读能力 一、词汇量是阅读的基础学生在阅读理解中遇到的关键问题就是词汇障碍。没有词汇量的积累,何谈阅读能力的提高。扩大学生的词汇量已是必然趋势。词汇量积累是一个长期过程,要求学生平时注意积累,善于总结,词汇量越大越有利于阅读,通过大量阅读也可以巩固扩大学生词汇量,二者是相辅相成的。于是我经常开设阅读课,给学生提供大量的原汁原味的,各种体裁的文章。体裁包括人物传记故事,日常生活,社会文化,史地知识,科普小品等内容。学生在阅读课上主要是自己约束,遇到问题查工具书或向老师质疑。二、培养学生的阅读兴趣兴趣是最好的老师,是学习积极性中最现实,最活跃的成分。一个学生只有对英语产生了浓厚的兴趣,才会把阅读看成自己的愿望和需要,才会由被动阅读转为主动阅读,才会有阅读的信心。因此要想提高学生的阅读能力,必须在教学起始阶段注重培养学生的阅读兴趣。在提高学生阅读理解能力时,教师应对其做以下指导。(一)要注意养成良好的阅读心理阅读时要去掉杂念,心绪要安定,精神要专一,要形成一种惬意的顺向心理。造成大脑皮层的优势兴奋中心。切不可一遇到几个生词难句,就心烦意乱,失去自控能力。心理学家告诉我们,任何恐慌,过分紧张的情绪都会形成一种消极因素妨碍大脑的正常思维功能。因此,遇到困难一定要从容不迫,心无旁骛。这样才能对所读的文章印象清晰,理解深刻。(二)要提高视读的速度考阅读理解,从另一个方面来说,考的是考试速度。因此做阅读理解时,要注意培养自己快速阅读的习惯。阅读时眼球总是不断地移动停顿移动着。理解是在眼停的瞬间进行的。我们要使眼停的时间相对增加,就要扩大视读的广度,把逐词逐句的点式阅读变成一次扫描一句的线式阅读,并且把看到的东西迅速报告给大脑,形成眼脑较快的直映能力。切不可在个别难懂的词句上磨蹭,只要全篇理解了,个别难懂的词句可以根据上下文和构词法去猜测,去推断。(三)阅读时要注意培养语感所谓语感是指人们对语言中词语搭配及句型结构的熟练程度。语感好的人,理解力就强,视读的速度就快。阅读时要留心词语的搭配,即惯用法。必要时可用笔划一划或记下来。读完每一篇文章,都应总结归纳一下,积累了多少单词,惯用法和句型,这样语感自然就会好起来。(四)读完一篇文章后,要回味一番对文章的段落结构,中心思想,人物事件,论点论据要做到心中有数。对不清楚的地方可以再看几次。要留心关键词句,注意弦外之音。对文章的评价分析,一定要坚持词不离句,句不离篇,要理解文章作者的原意,而不能按你自己的意愿去想当然。切记:一想当然,就会出错。
