A poor pig
Danny is a little pig . He is unhappy because he wants to leave home to see the world .
It’s a sunny day . Danny goes away when his parents are sleeping . on his way he meets an elephant , a peacock and a rabbit . At last , he gets to a lake . He looks at his reflection in the water and says, “I wish I have an elephant’s nose , a peacock’s tail and a rabbit’s ears .” after a while , Danny’s wish comes true . He runs back excitedly .
But his parents can’t recognize Danny , “Go away , you’re not our son .” Danny goes to the lake again . “ I just want to be a pig .” He says sadly .Danny waits and waits . He becomes a pig again .
Danny runs back quickly . His parents hug and say , “ This is our lovely baby .”
可怜的小猪
丹尼是只小猪，为此他很不开心，他希望自己能够拥有大象的鼻子、孔雀的尾巴、小兔的耳朵。可是，当他的愿望实现的时候，爸爸妈妈却不认他了。可怜的小猪决定，还是变回自己原来的样子吧。
One day,a little monkey is playing by the well.
一天，有只小猴子在井边玩儿。
He looks in the well and shouts :
它往井里一瞧，高喊道：
“Oh!My god!The moon has fallen into the well!”
“噢！我的天！月亮掉到井里头啦！”
An older monkeys runs over, takes a look,and says,
一只大猴子跑来一看，说，
“Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”
“糟啦！月亮掉在井里头啦！”
And olderly monkey comes over.
老猴子也跑过来。
He is very surprised as well and cries out:
他也非常惊奇，喊道：
“The moon is in the well.”
“糟了，月亮掉在井里头了！”
A group of monkeys run over to the well .
一群猴子跑到井边来，
They look at the moon in the well and shout:
他们看到井里的月亮，喊道：
“The moon did fall into the well!Come on!Let’get it out!”
“月亮掉在井里头啦！快来！让我们把它捞起来！”
Then,the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch .
然后，老猴子倒挂在大树上，
And he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.
拉住大猴子的脚，
All the other monkeys follow his suit,
其他的猴子一个个跟着，
And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.
它们一只连着一只直到井里。
Just before they reach the moon,the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky,
正好他们摸到月亮的时候，老猴子抬头发现月亮挂在天上呢
He yells excitedly “Don’t be so foolish!The moon is still in the sky!”
它兴奋地大叫：“别蠢了！月亮还好好地挂在天上呢！”

从前有一位王子，他想找一位公主结婚，但是她必须是一位真正的公主。他走遍了全世界，想要寻找到一位真正的公主，但不论走到什么地方，总碰到一些障碍。
公主倒有的是，但王子无法判断她们究竟是不是真正的公主，因为她们总有一些地方不大对头，结果，他只好回家来，心中很不快活，因为他是多么渴望得到一位真正的公主。
有一天晚上，忽然起了一阵可怕的暴风雨，天空在掣电，在打雷，还下着大雨，这真使人有些害怕！这时，有人在敲门，老国王就走过去开门。
站在城外的是一位美丽的公主。可是，天啊！经过了风吹雨打之后，她的样子是多么难看啊！水沿着她的头发和衣服向下流，流进鞋尖，又从脚跟流出来。她说她是一个真正的公主。
老皇后心想：“是的，这点我们马上就可以考查出来。”可是，她什么也没说。她走进卧房，把所有的被褥全部搬开，在床榻上放了一粒豌豆于是她取出二十张床垫子，把它们压在豌豆上。随后，她又在这些垫子上放了二十床鸭绒被。
这位公主夜里就睡在这些东西上面。
早晨大家问她昨晚睡得怎样。
“啊，一点儿也不舒服！”公主说。”我差不多整夜都没有合上眼！天晓得床下有什么东西？有一粒很硬的东西硌着我，弄的我全身发紫，这真是太可怕了！”
大家看出来了，她的确是一位真正的公主。因为压在这二十层床垫子和二十床鸭绒被下面的一粒豌豆，她居然还能感觉得出来。除了真正的公主以外，任何人都不会有这么稚嫩的皮肤的。
因此，那位王子就选她做妻子了，因为他知道他得到了一位真正的公主。这粒豌豆因此也送进了博物馆。如果没有人把它拿走的话，人们现在还可以在那儿看到它呢。

There was once a prince who wanted to marry a princess, but she had to be a real princess. He traveled all over the world, trying to find a real princess, but wherever he went, he met some obstacles.
There were some princesses, but the prince could not tell whether they were real princesses, because there were always some things wrong with them.
As a result, he had to come home, and his heart was very unhappy, because he was so eager to get a real princess.
One night, a terrible storm broke out. The sky was switching on electricity, thundering and raining heavily. It really made people afraid. At that moment, someone was knocking at the door, and the old king went to open it.
Standing outside the city is a beautiful princess. But, my God! How ugly she looks after all the rain and wind. Water ran down her hair and clothes, into the toes of her shoes, and out of her heels. She said she was a real princess.
The old queen thought to herself, "Yes, we can find out that in a minute." But she said nothing. She went into the bedroom, removed all the bedclothes and put a pea on the bed.
So she took out twenty mattresses and pressed them on the peas. Later, she placed twenty eiderdown quilts on the mats.
The Princess slept on these things at night.
In the morning she was asked how she slept last night.
"Ah, not at all!" The Princess said. I haven't closed my eyes almost all night! God knows what's under the bed? It's horrible that a very hard object runs against me and makes me purple all over!"
As you can see, she is indeed a real princess. Because she could feel a pea under twenty mattresses and twenty eiderdown quilts. No one but a real princess would have such tender skin.
So the prince chose her as his wife because he knew he had a real princess. The pea was sent to the museum. If no one had taken it away, people could still see it there now.
