（一）应培养对英语的语感
那么什么是语感呢？对于笔者来说语感就是一种敏感度。所谓敏感度就是一看题目知道出题者要考查的知识点；要想做到这一点不容易，需要同学们对平时重要的模拟考，期末考等大型考试题给予足够的重视，考完必须花一定的时间认真分析试卷错题，归纳总结考点解题规律等，而对于英语的重头戏阅读理解，语感其实是一种内化的知识储备，即做题的感觉。
（二）总结一些重点生词
做题过程中遇到你觉得重要的词汇，不认识的单词或短语一定要找单独的本子积累下来，并且做到时常拿出来翻看，坚持一段时间，就能在潜移默化中快速扩大词汇量，更重要的是大型考试中的阅读生词通常是高频词，对我们短期内增加词汇量帮助很大。
（三）做题要学会舍弃某些较难题目，最大限度争取时间做有把握的题
我们在考试中尤其是某些阅读题目很多情况下有不能确定的答案，拿不准，需要我们回到文章中仔细寻找依据才能做选择。遇到这种情况可以暂且先放这个题目到一边去看下一题，这样做一方面能够节省考试时间，另一方面其他题的解答也许会对拿不准的上一题有所启发。因此我们在平时训练中遇到模棱两可的题就应该大胆舍弃，不犹豫，严格在规定时间内做完全部题目，才是最明智的。

（四）课外英文读物对提高阅读能力很有帮助
带着目的去读书，在文章中碰到好的句子要能背诵出来，除了背诵精美句子，还要了解文章所介绍的北京文化，或者一些对国家民族，人物风俗习惯的介绍，这是因为这些内容会完形阅读中有所体现，对我们加深对文章的理解很有帮助。
还可以坚持每天做2篇阅读，控制时间，力求熟练，注重数量的同时也要注重质量。经过日积月累地强化训练后能力必然有所提高。
（五）背诵英语课本中的课文也是增强阅读能力的好方法。
背课文，很多同学一听觉得没什么大用，但课文是培养阅读能力的最佳途径，也是我们现在英语水平能够接受得很好的素材。文章中没有平时阅读理解里的长难句，绝大多事都是容易理解的句子，只要我们多读多背，做卷子里的阅读理解时就能够更快的抓住要点，拿到分数。
（六）寻找适合自己的阅读方法
拿到一篇阅读，先看问题和选项，由于问题设置顺序大部分和文章的顺序有对应关系，问题一般按文章内容先后设置，带着问题读文章能帮助我们大致了解文章的内容。
其次同学们要对文章的首段及每个段落的首句给予足够重视。这些地方通常是设题的重点区域，重视这些地方至少帮你解决一，两个题。最后针对一些事实细节题再去看原文。带着相关问题，找到细节所在段落，接着联系上下文语境做出最佳答案。
