不同的级别对应美国不同的年级层次，AA-C级别对应幼儿园阶段， D-J级别对应美国小学一年级，K-P级别对应美国小学二年级，Q-T级别对应美国小学三年级，U-W级别对应美国小学四年级，X-Z级别对应美国小学五六年级（相当于国内高中毕业）。完整学完，词汇量积累能达到1.7万，相当于美国小学毕业、国内英语四六级的阅读能力水平。
2.内容丰富，扩展面广
内容设计上，除了常见的童话故事外，RAZ里也有丰富的科普内容，覆盖历史、科学、自然、地理、传记等内容。
RAZ官网服务器是在美国，所以在国内使用时网速会比较慢，使用起来不是特别灵活。国内引进的资源和书相对原版来说内容会少一些，而且有些书的内容和原版的有差异。
I CAN Read 系列来自美国著名出版社Harper Collins，从My First至Level 4共分为5个级别，共200多本，每个级别针对不同阅读能力的小朋友。
My First适合刚刚接触英语阅读的孩子；Level1的句子相对简单，适合英语学龄1年的孩子；Level2更加注重文字的变化，适合英语学龄1-3的孩子，阅读的部分内容还需要大人的帮助；Level3的情节逐渐复杂，孩子可以自主选择感兴趣的主题进行阅读，适合英语学龄2-4的孩子；Level4适合英语学龄3年以上的孩子，孩子对阅读已经有浓厚的兴趣，能自主选择感兴趣的内容进行独立阅读。
I Can Read邀请了许多知名作家进行创作，很多图书都获得过纽伯瑞、凯迪克大奖。所有系列均为Fiction故事类，故事主角都是深受孩子喜爱的形象，不同性别、性格的孩子都能找到适合自己的主题。
不同的作者分别创作，I Can Read的难度的分布相对来说不如RAZ那么科学，有些书的分级不是特别严格。
培生英语分级读物来自著名的英国培生出版集团，由全球顶级的英语教育专家撰写。国内引进出版的有《培生幼儿英语》和《培生儿童英语》。
《培生幼儿英语》分为预备级、基本级和提高级，共101本8CD；《培生儿童英语》共12级，一共156本，1-6级属于故事书，7-9级属于桥梁书，10-12级文字更多，图更少。
价格比较实惠，故事类型多，小朋友读起来不会枯燥。
难度跨度大，进阶不平滑，更适合一定阅读基础的小朋友进阶阅读使用。
海尼曼（Heinemann）这套分级读物的图片大多使用的是真实照片、真人真事，里面的内容丰富涉及广泛。
海尼曼这套分级读物分为GK、G1和G2三个级别298本。GK共70本，适合零基础；G1共110本，适合幼儿园至一年级；G2共118本，适合一年级至三年级，每个级别过渡进阶平缓，适合低幼启蒙
优点：
画风写实，内容从自然科学、人文到人物、地理等均有涉及，分类均匀，弥补了英语分级阅读物种网络类的缺失。
缺点：
这套书国内目前还没有引进版，大部分图片使用的是真实照片，低年龄的小朋友可能会觉得趣味性较低。
牛津阅读树是分级读物里的明星教材。针对以英语为母语的学龄前及小学孩子培养阅读兴趣的寓教于乐的阅读教材，也是英国小学使用最为广泛的阅读材料。
牛津阅读树的体系非常完整，且书目数量庞大，不管哪个年龄段的孩子都能找到自己适合的内容，
唯一算的上缺点的只能是，国内市面上版本很多，让人眼花缭乱，比如原装进口版、国内引进版《典范英语》，以及外研社的“丽声系列”。
市面上的分级读物还有很多，这么多的分级读物各有各的优势和特色，没有任何一套能完胜其他家。家长们最好是选择孩子感兴趣的一套分级读物作为主干重点阅读，备选1-2套分级读物作为扩展阅读的材料，相辅相成学习才能让孩子的阅读兴趣更加持久。
