摘 要：培养初中学生的英语阅读理解能力是一项非常重要的任务，教师在教学过程中必须做到以下几点：通过多种途径，激发学生阅读的兴趣;实施交互模式，进行阅读课的教学;选取多样化的题材和体裁，培养学生的阅读理解能力。

众所周知，学生阅读理解能力的培养是中学英语学习的一项重要任务，对学生进行阅读理解能力的考查也是现在中考的一项重要内容。《义务教育英语课程标准》对初中阶段阅读技能的培养也提出了明确的要求：“能根据上下文和构词法推断、理解生词的含义;能找出文章中的主题;能读懂常见体裁的阅读材料;能根据不同的阅读目的运用简单的阅读策略获取信息。”造成初中学生英语阅读理解能力不理想的原因是多方面的。如有的教师过分重视知识点的'分析而忽略了指导学生对语篇的整体理解;有的教师过分重视阅读的结果而忽略了过程的指导;学生阅读的材料形式单一;学生的阅读习惯不好，如逐字阅读、出声朗读等等。

正是由于上面的许多原因阻碍了学生阅读理解能力的提高，因此，英语教师如果想要提高学生的阅读理解能力，必须采取行之有效的方法。

一、通过多种途径，激发学生阅读的兴趣

阅读能力与学生的兴趣等非智力因素密切相关，学生对阅读能否产生浓厚的兴趣是阅读教学成败的关键。所以，在阅读教学过程中，教师不仅要避免呆板和枯燥的教学形式，还要通过各种有趣的课堂教学活动提高学生的兴趣。教师要做到让学生由“要我读”变成“我要读”。我们都知道初中生对未知世界充满强烈的好奇心，其求知欲也很强，但缺乏毅力和恒心。所以，教师一方面要充分开发和利用学生的好奇心，引导学生积极阅读;另一方面要通过多种渠道和途径实施教学，培养学生持久的阅读兴趣。例如，对于一些科普类的文章，其内容比较枯燥乏味，为了使学生能对科技产生兴趣，教师可以在初步介绍文章内容之后，播放一些与科技内容相关的短片，激发学生学习科学知识的欲望。例如，在教学新目标英语八（下）Unit1 Do you think you will have your own robot？这篇文章的时候，我在初步介绍这篇文章内容之后，就播放一些有关机器人的视频资料，比如像狗造型的机器人可做广播体操及表演倒立等各种动作，还有类似人造型的机器人会表演舞蹈和跑步等各种动作。这样一来，学生学习的欲望被激发了，他们就会带着一种“我要读”的思想学习这篇文章。

二、实施交互模式，进行阅读课的教学

“授之以鱼，不如授之以渔。”在英语阅读教学中仅仅停留在词句的分析和理解层次上是远远不够的，在现实生活中起不到真正的交际作用。在教学中，教师要教给学生学习的“钥匙”，即如何有效地进行阅读课文的学习。新目标英语从八年级下册开始，每个单元都有Reading部分，而且每一篇阅读的文章都训练一种阅读策略和技能。阅读理解的教学模式一般有自下而上（Bottom-up）、自上而下（Top-down）和平行模式/交互模式（Parallel/Interactive）三种，而阅读理解的教学模式一般以交互模式为佳。它的基本路径为：自上而下→自下而上模式。从这个观点出发，我们一般把阅读课文的教学分为三个阶段：pre-reading，while-reading，post-reading。下面我就结合我的教学实际，对如何实施这三个阶段做一个详细的介绍。

阅读活动这个环节的主要目的不仅是要提高学生的阅读理解能力，获取和提炼信息的能力，还要引导学生在语境中感知和学习新语言知识，包括语言结构、词汇和语篇知识。阅读活动这个环节一般要经过扫读理解→略读质疑→细读赏析的步骤来使自己最终了解文章的细节、段落大意及段落间的联系，加深对整篇文章的理解。此外，设计阅读活动这个环节要注意：不要第一遍阅读就直接进入有关细节的阅读，还有读中活动设计的层次性要强。例如，在教学新目标英语九年级Unit 9 Do you know when basketball was invented？ 这篇文章的时候，我先要求学生快速阅读（skimming）这篇课文，找出文章的主旨大意――It’s about the invention of basketball. 然后要求学生进一步阅读课文（scanning），把各个段落和它们的主旨大意配对：Paragraphs 12：Basketball is played everywhere.Paragraph 3：The origin of basketball. Paragraph 4： How to play basketball？Paragraph 5：The history of basketball.最后让学生分段落细读课文（close-reading），完成“脑中构图”的图表。 3.读后活动（post-reading）

三、选取多样化的题材和体裁，培养学生的阅读理解能力

大家都知道，中考阅读理解阅读材料选取的题材广泛，包括幽默故事、语言文化、休闲娱乐、社会时事、科普知识等。选取的体裁也多样，包括记叙文、说明文、应用文等。这些材料的内容常常是贴近我们的现实生活，这就意味着阅读文章的选材范围很宽。因此我们阅读训练的面也要宽，材料要新，语言要地道，要有足够的输入量。因为教学实践证明“教师只有给学生足够的输入量，学生才能输出。”学生只有熟悉各类题材和体裁的文章并进行适当的训练，才能适应中考的要求。

总之，对学生阅读理解能力的培养需要经过长期的、有计划的、有目的的系统训练，它是一个循序渐进的过程。在新课程背景下，每一个英语教师要逐步培养学生的阅读兴趣，要教会学生运用阅读策略及有目的地对学生进行阅读训练，培养他们的阅读理解能力。我们相信学生通过这样持之以恒的训练，他们的阅读理解能力也会随之逐步提高！

1、首先，无可否认，做阅读理解就是为了在最短时间内完成文章后面的题目。

或许正是这个原因，有很多补习社的老师在教阅读的时候甚至提出不必读完和读懂文章也能做出题目的各种技巧。一方面，我觉得确实存在一些小的技巧能够帮助我们在没有读懂全文的情况下，完成一些询问细节的题目，例如赛达中会考到一些生僻单词在语境中的意思;但另一方面，我认为学生还是应该将把握文章的大致意思作为一项主要的目标，这不仅能够帮助我们更好的完成一些考察主旨的题目，而且更重要的是，能让我们觉得做阅读理解是一件有意义的事，而没有在这个过程中被异化为考试的机器。

2、其次，英语阅读理解应该能够帮助我们更好的学习英语写作。

目前的大部分补习社将听说读写分开来教的安排其实是值得商榷的。大家都知道，要想文章写得好，就必须大量的阅读和模仿。阅读理解对于写作的好处至少有两方面：首先是阅读能扩宽我们的知识面和思路，这对于很多无话可说的写作考生来说尤其重要;其次是阅读能帮助我们熟悉英语的语法和词汇，特别是句子的结构以及单词在句子中的运用，如果能将这些技巧运用到写作中去，那么写作能力一定会大大提高。

3、前面说的这两条都是应试方面的目的。

然而，学习的目的不应该只是为了考试。对于参加出国考试的同学来说，考到一个好的成绩固然很重要，但等我们一旦拿到offer，这些成绩就不再重要了，而真正重要的是在备考过程中我们学会的各种技巧、知识以及理念。我会将阅读理解的第三个目的归结为受教育，或者说成为一个更加有文化的人。本来，文化在汉语中的字面意思就是用文字来教化，那么阅读自然是教化的一个重要手段。而对于即将出国受教育的同学，通过阅读来接受英语文化的熏陶，正是我们本应该追求的目标。因此，我们在做阅读理解时应该时刻提醒自己，正在通过这些英语的文本和某位作者进行交流，并通过这位作者来了解异域的文化和风情。或许，有了这一种心态和目的，阅读对于我们来说就不再是一种负担了。

4、最后，我觉得即使以受教育或者了解文化为目的仍然带有较强的功利色彩。

如孔子所说，“知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者。”阅读理解的终极目的，我认为是为了能够更好的理解作者想要表达的信息和意境，通过接触比自己更加睿智、渊博的心灵来提升自己，让自己从中获得快乐与幸福。作为一名赛达阅读老师，我和我的学生站在一个崭新的起点上，在他们的前路上有许多伟大的文学巨匠、科学大师和思想家在美国大学的教科书和阅读材料里等待着他们。我有责任帮助他们发现阅读的乐趣，帮助他们踏上终身享受阅读与学习的快乐之旅。

记叙文阅读主要抓四大要素，即时间、地点、人物和事件起因、发展和结果，以及人物之间的关系、表现，从中分析他们思想品质、性格特征等;议论文是阐明作者对人或事好坏的立场观点，因此在阅读时必须正确把握文章的论点和论据，理清论证思路，再进行逻辑推理得出结论;应用文是最贴近日常生活的文体，它包括通知、广告、便条、申请书、个人简历，形式多样，题材各异，如图示、表格、地址、网址等，对这类文体的阅读应简明扼要地抓住所需信息，理解文章内容。

统览全篇摘录要点

阅读理解是对整个文章的目的、意图、观点、立场、态度以及内在的逻辑关系的理解，而不是断章取义的一孔之见，所以统览全篇和问题是很有必要的，这些问题会给你提供信息或暗示文章中的一些重要细节。

如2002年某市中考试卷C篇阅读并回答问题中，通过对全篇的布局谋篇以及问题的设置看到的不是片言只语，而从中感悟到人文思想的`体现，人类和自然界生态相辅相成的关系，从而得出第6小题：From the passage, we learn that___.答案为B。

即：The rainforest people have done something to protect their home.

在统览全篇的同时要注意要点的摘录，因为一些显性的答案是可以从要点中直接回答，而隐性的答案则是要通过对全篇的理解才能得出。统览全篇，摘录要点亦有利于检查时节省时间。

开动脑筋推测词意

初中英语学科教学基本要求规定，学生能根据上下文推测词义，并能不借助词典读懂含有3%生词的语言材料，换言之，这就是促使学生的知识内化的过程，学生要通过知识内化将内隐的心理活动转换为外显的行为，可以借助以下的几种方法完成内化过程：

根据上下文猜测词意

如某市2003年中考模拟题，阅读B篇中passed away，根据上文的An illness had kept the boy home.和下文写给Rick的信中可以猜测出意为“去世”。

根据构词法猜测词意

前缀un-表反义词，如：happy--unhappy，fair--unfair，important--unimportant等。

后缀-ment表名词，如：develop--development，state--statement，argue--argument等。

后缀-er、-or或-ist表同源名词，如：calculate--calculator，visit---visitor，law--lawyer，wai--waiter，science--scientist，art--artist等。

用知识和生活经验理解短文

如：根据化学知识，可以理解科普读物Water is made from oxygen and hydrogen.根据生活经验可以理解Green plants let out oxygen and breathe in carbon dioxide.

根据逻辑推理理解短文

逻辑推理实际上就是文章的“弦外之音”、“言下之意”。如：闸北区中考模拟卷阅读C篇回答问题中，根据：Have the police taken your driving licence away, too?可以推断问题6：Why was the other man riding a bicycle instead of diving a car?的答案为：Because the police had take his driving license away.

再如：Then they cam e to the second picture. The assistant was going to draw the cloth as he did before. As soon as he touched the cloth，he cried, Wonderful It's the best picture I have ever seen!据此可以推断出第二张画画的是一块布。

条分缕析理解长句

长句是初中生阅读理解的难点之一，长句中通常包含并列、复合、倒装等结构，对于这类句子要分清主次，先找出句子的主、谓、宾、定、状、补，再找出修饰它的从句或短语等。如：Parents whose children show a special interesting particular sport have a difficult decision to make about their children's career.先找出本句的主、谓、宾为Parents have a cession.再找出修饰语Whose children show a special interesting particular sport.为Parents的定语从句，difficult修饰decision，to make about their children's careers为不定式做decision的定语。经过分析，化整为零，化繁为简，此句就不难理解了。

阅读理解是英语教学和学生学习的一个重要环节， 但阅读教学的目的不仅仅在于知识的传授， 而是对学生综合运用语言能力的考查，是在学生原有知识水平的基础上，巩固扩大学生的知识面，培养和提高阅读理解的能力，激发学生的积极性，从而更好地构建自主学习的框架。阅读也是学习英语的主要输入方式，通过阅读从书面语言材料中吸取知识和获取所需信息，阅读能力的高低决定了能否快速高效吸收有用信息， 同时制约和影响着一个人的听、说、写能力的全面发展。

1 影响阅读理解能力的因素

语言因素。语言因素包括语言知识和语言技能，即学生对字母、单词、短语、习惯表达法及语法知识等的掌握与运用。阅读是为了获取信息，而信息是以语言为表达形式，所以必定会受到语言表达形式的影响。非语言因素。学生阅读的心理状态与阅读理解的有效度有着直接的联系。如果学生阅读时，目的明确，信心十足，并有强烈的阅读欲望，其效果就相对较好。反之，如果学生对阅读不感兴趣。阅读时处于紧张焦虑状态，就会产生抵触心理和厌倦情绪，从而使阅读理解大打折扣。

2 提高中学生的英语阅读理解能力应注意的问题

2.1 阅读兴趣的激发

兴趣就如同动机或动力。教师在培养学生的阅读能力过程中，应当选择一些趣味性强、适于学生心理特点的英文读物，由浅入深、由易到难，逐渐地让学生在阅读的语境中体验到愉快的情绪，真正地让学生认识到阅读并非空洞乏味的活动，而是在阅读了词、句、段的字面意义的基础上领会其深层含义。教师还可以通过各种形式让学生身临其境，感知具体的语言信息，以引起阅读兴趣。同时创设问题情境，激起学生的好奇心和求知欲，启发他们理解上下文， 这样学生就可以轻松地克服阅读过程中不正确心理因素的影响，从而以旺盛的精力、饱满的热情和很强的探求精神投入到阅读活动中去。

2.2 背景知识不可缺

培养阅读理解能力不可缺少的条件之一是要了解有关的背景知识。语言是文化的表现形式，特定的文化背景产生各具特色的语言文化。中学生学习外语，需要了解语言对象国的有关国情知识和语言国情知识、民族的风俗习惯等，不然就会出现在认识多个单词和句子的情况下， 仍不明白其内涵， 或造成误解的现象。如A:How do you like this kind of car?B:Oh,it is a Deadsea apple。其中“adead sea apple”来自Bible，传说是死海沿岸生产一种苹果，外表鲜嫩，可吃起来却满口苦涩味，后来“a deadsea apple”就被用来形容那些虚有其表、败絮其中的东西。学生若不了解这一文化背景知识，便无法理解这句话的含义。

2.3 词汇环节需重视

学生在做阅读理解时往往有以下的通病， 遇到生词就停下来查字典，找释义。阅读过程断断续续，往往读了后面忘记前面，理不清文章的内在逻辑关系，不能从整体上理解文章。因为英语词汇丰富，单词量大，在英语阅读教学中教师应注意培养学生学习和记忆单词的能力，教给学生多种记忆单词的方法。

2.4 语法环节也要重视

牢固熟练的掌握好必要的语法知识， 可在阅读时准确理解作者的意图，获得所需的相关信息。语法教学应贯穿于英语教学的始终，在具体教学时如果只讲语法规则，只练固定搭配，没有整体文字检验，那么学生的学和用就会脱节，这样不利于他们阅读能力的提高。

2.5 克服不好的阅读习惯

在阅读过程中，学生表现出的不好的阅读习惯有：慢读、指字、声读、默读、过分复视、逐字阅读、滥用词典等。这些不好的阅读习惯，不仅会大幅度的降低阅读速度，而且还会分散注意力，破坏思维的连贯性，破坏整体的阅读效果。

3 提高中学生英语阅读能力的方法

学生要想提高阅读理解的能力，除了阅读英语课文以外，还必须阅读一些课外短文，以此来培养自己的阅读能力。但要想获得多、快、好的阅读效果，就一定要讲究方法和技巧。

3.1 浏览文章大意

拿到一篇文章，不要急于阅读正文，而应先破解文章标题，吃透题目本身的内涵，再根据插图、注释、表格等相关的说明性文字，机智地去捕捉文章信息，然后阅读正文。只要求浏览文章大意，不一定字字落实到位。

3.2 关键词

一般来说， 一个句子中有一个或数个决定整句的关键词或短语，阅读时学会抓住关键词或短语，可以大大提高阅读速度和效果。如The thief often steals Tom,s sheep。如果不认识steal这个词，而thief 的词义是“贼”，那么将“贼”和“偷”联系起来就是很自然的。在阅读时，应把注意力集中在关键词上，对其中词语可以一带而过，能否留下印象关系不大，切不可平均用力。

3.3 学会猜词

阅读英文，经常遇到不懂的词是正常现象，但不要一遇到生词就查字典翻资料找注释，这样做不但太费时间，还不一定能找出所需的解释来。在以往的英语阅读理解教学中，往往严格局限于课本和几张为考试范围的篇子， 采取强行灌输和死记硬背的方式，以期取得高分，使高分的内涵演化成一定范围内知识的精确度，而非是提高学生语言学习的能力，增长知识的目的。从而使得高分的学生思维逐渐僵化， 基础较差得不到高分的学生逐渐失去学习的自信心和兴趣。

总之，英语阅读理解能力具有很强的实践性，要靠学生自己通过长期的训练进行培养。教师要充分利用教材的优势，培养学生阅读兴趣，开发阅读潜能，训练阅读技巧，提高阅读水平，以达到提高学生英语阅读理解综合能力的目的。在英语阅读理解的过程中，学生如果毫无兴趣，阅读理解很难进行。如果阅读有趣，学生有很强的提高阅读理解力的信心和愿望， 阅读理解才会很好地进行。所以，我们在教学中，要首先致力于培养学生学习英语的兴趣，增加学生学好英语的信心。再逐渐教授阅读理解的的方法和要点。

小学英语学习目标以听说为主，大量的口头表达，但是学生到了高年级，如只是听说，学习能力发展不快。所以各种技能在小学都要培养，才能适应上中学后英语进一步的学习。

小学生，特别是中国的小学生，由于自然的学习环境还不是特别理想，没有语境，所以需要大量的接触英语素材、资料。

如四年级下，read and write 通过生动活泼的情景呈现趣味对话，扩展语言知识面，提高学生阅读理解的能力。

五、六年级是通过真实、活泼的情景，提高学生阅读理解的能力。力求通过真实自然的.语言情景来巩固、拓展语言知识。

所以小学阶段，即便是低年级阶段我们也应该安排一些小故事，让学生来阅读，来表演，这样能够通过学习故事，表演故事，能够有更多语言输入。

听、说、读、写中，要属“读”输入最大，而读中，属默读输入量最大，朗读是不思考地读，如果真正理解，只有默读。让学生默读，让他眼睛看、心理想着，输入量大而且也能很快理解，速度也快
