The one of the most impressive places I have visited is the Great Wall in Beijing,the capital of China.It was built 2000 years ago by Qing dynasty aiming to prevent the invasion from the enemy of north of China.But ring the long Chinese history,many dynasties tried to enhance or repair the Great Wall and therefore nowadays what we are seeing is majorly built by Ming dynasty.
The Great Wall built along the historic east to west border and it was so long that it was very hard to see all of it.What I saw is only the part of it located in the Beijing; at the same time,it is the most favorite part for the visitors from all over the world.The Great wall stretches itself among the mountains and then slowly disappears from your sight.The scenery around the Great Wall is beautiful as well.When I walked on it,it hard to imagine that how the ancient people can build this fabulous building without help of modern construction machines.
However,I also noted that some part of it have been broken e to the erosion from sandstorm,wind and other bed weather conditions.It is possible that the miracle made by human being will disappear some day in the future.Therefore,I really hope the people and the government can take some effective measurements to protect it so that the more people have an opportunity to see it.
