經過一星期的堅持，我終於讀完了〈〈老人與海〉〉這本外國名著。這本書給我留下了深刻印象，使我無法忘記它。這本小說主要寫了一位老人獨自在海上打魚。他釣到了一條大魚，把魚頭和上半身綁在小船邊上。但是他遇上了鯊魚，老人使出了渾身解數和鯊魚搏鬥，鯊魚把能吃到的魚肉都吃了卻還有800磅左右。
看了這本書，我的心久久不能平靜，這位普通而又可敬的老人使我深深的懂得了：「做人不應該被任何困難所壓服，應該盡自己最大的努力與生活中的磨難做不屈不撓的斗爭。
桑提阿果爺爺的硬骨頭精神實在令我佩服。每當我讀到爺爺與鯊魚進行激烈的搏鬥時，我的心情不知是要緊張還是要為爺爺擔心，可是爺爺，總是保持著樂觀的精神去面對一些極大的困難。看到這里，我不由得想起了自己，每當我遇到了一些困難時，總是覺得很不順心，覺得很煩，很想逃避現實。再看看人家桑提阿果爺爺，不管遇到任何困難也毫不退縮，而是勇敢地去面對！
做人也應該這樣，不要一副貪生怕死的樣子，要對自己有信心。即使我們遇到重重困難，也絕不應該讓它給打倒，應該勇敢地去消滅它。

《老人與海》這本書講了這么一個故事，古巴老漁夫聖地亞哥連續八十四天沒捕到魚，被別的漁夫看做失敗者，可是他堅持不懈，終於釣到了一條大馬林魚，大馬林魚將他的小船在海上拖了三天才筋疲力盡，被他殺死了綁在小船的一邊，再歸程中一再遭到鯊魚的襲擊，他用盡了一切手段來反擊。回港時只剩魚頭魚尾和一條脊骨。盡管魚肉都被咬去了，但什麼也無法摧殘他的英勇意志。這本書向我們揭示了這樣一個真理：人不是為了失敗而生的，一個人可以被毀滅，但不能被打敗。

The novel wrote a senior fisherman in marine to catch fish, might pass through for 84 days, he has not seized a fish, everybody said that his luck was not good, when the 85th day, he decided the fishermen have never gone the deep sea fished, proved own ability and the courage. In marine, old person had discovered a very big marlin, it has overcome one difficulty on top of another, jabbed into finally the harpoon marlin's heart. In the returns on the way, old person has met the many crowd of shark's five attacks, underwent three day of three night of life-and-death fight, he extreme weary paddles the boat to return to the harbor, that gigantic marlin only remained a white skeleton. I from that simple, precise and am brimming with in the rich life breath description, entered senior fisherman Sang Tiya elder brother's old age life. 在這個暑假裡，我看了兩本書，老人與海就是其中之一。
《老人與海》是著名作家海明威創作於1952年，也是作者生前發表的最後一部小說。它再次向人們證實了海明威作為20世紀美國傑出小說家的不可動搖的地位和卓越的功績。這篇小說還獲得了1953年的美國普利策獎和1954年諾貝爾文學獎呢。
小說寫了一位老漁夫在海上捕魚，可經過了84天，他還沒有捕到一條魚，大家都說他運氣不好，等到第85天，他決定去漁夫們從未去過的深海去打魚，以證明自己的能力和勇氣。在海上，老人發現了一條很大的馬林魚，它克服了重重困難，終於把魚叉刺進了馬林魚的心臟。在返回的途中，老人遇到了多群鯊魚的五次襲擊，經過了三天三夜的殊死搏鬥，他極度疲勞的劃著小船回到港口，那條碩大的馬林魚只剩一副白骨架了。
我從那樸素、精確而又洋溢著濃郁生活氣息的描寫中，進入了老漁民桑提亞哥的晚年生活。我讀出了他的凄涼、孤獨，看到了他的堅韌、頑強，更可貴的是，在那麼惡劣的環境下，他對生活依舊充滿了信心！
在生活中，我們也遇到過類似的情況。5.12令全國人民悲痛的日子，我們全國人民萬眾一心，瞧他們，也是在那麼惡劣的環境下，他們仍然還那麼有信心，因為他們相信，解放軍叔叔一定會來救他，他們知道只有堅持就有希望。就這樣一天又一天過去了他們一個個被解救出來了，他們的辛苦沒有白費。
《老人與海》這本書令我悟出了一個能激發人們永不止步向前走的大道理：無論遇到什麼困難，不能沒有奮斗過就「Say no」，不能遇到一點失敗就放棄，只有努力地去應對困難，樂觀地面對失敗，才能獲得成功。
四年級達，要這個幹嘛？我們老師都不要。

讀後感 《老人與海》 The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway』s most enring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a great part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me. This novel mainly wrote one old person alone in marine fishes. He fished one big fish, tied up the fish head and the upper part of the body side the boat above. But he met the shark fish, the old person causes all one's skill and the shark fish fight, the shark fish the fish flesh which could eat all eats finished also has about 800 pounds. This book promulgates the truth, not showed the person how regardless of, most feared is does not have the confidence. The confidence is just like is the automobile motor, is power which the person goes forward. I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.
