一、閱讀理解題以其內容多樣性，形式靈活性，難易不可捉摸性，使得很多學生對其產生了強烈的恐懼感，從而態度馬虎，導致正確率較低，從而陷入了一個死胡同。
二、做閱讀理解題需要耗費大量的時間，把閱讀理解題講解到位更需要時間和精力，所以往往在課時較緊張的情況下，老師把這部分時間壓縮下來，擠更多時間鞏固課內知識。
三、由於每次的閱讀理解題包含很多生詞，很多同學不能理解其含義，於是就對這一題型失去信心，對於自身能力的提高也降低要求了。
如何培養學生做英語閱讀理解的興趣，如何端正學生的做題態度，如何提高其做題效率呢？下面我談一下我個人的一些看法：
一、閱讀理解內容的選擇技巧。
在七年級的時候，最好選擇較短，較易理解，故事性強的文章。學生做了之後有成就感，自然而然對於閱讀不再畏懼，從而產生興趣。等學生嘗到「甜頭」之後，再慢慢加長篇幅，加大難度。為了照顧大部分的學生，這可以是一個循序漸進的過程。在文章主題的選擇上，盡量選擇貼近當代生活的熱點話題以及學生的校園生活，比如：最近上映的影片，校園生活，旅遊等。當學生對於文章的主題是熟悉的，難度自然而然會降低很多，同時也會帶著興趣去做。
二、閱讀理解方法的指導策略。
可鼓勵學生採用3S1C的方法：第一步，先讓學生Skim(略讀) 文章，了解文章大意。第二步，帶著閱讀理解後面的題目去Search information（搜索原文中的信息）。第三步，根據搜索到的信息Solve（解決）待解決的問題。第四步，做好整張考卷之後再進行Check（檢查）。因為第一次做閱讀理解的題往往由於思路的局限對於題解過程造成一定的牽絆，當第二次面對同樣的題目，可能會豁然開朗或者有不同的想法。所以check這一步顯得尤為重要。
