第一炮：製造頭條新聞
Chapter 1 The Newspaper
在教室里，辛苦且漫長的一天，克蘭博老師看上去很累。
「馬基」她搖著她的頭說道，「你一整天都沒聽我說。我應該給你懲罰……但我有個更好的主意」
噢，不！我討厭她說她有更好的主意。
「我要你下個月去幫助學校報社。」她說。
「報社！」我抱怨著。
我可能會有多的風趣的故事，但是我真的不擅長其他任何事情，我在報社有什麼用？
在報社工作意味著和Tilly Turner 一起工作。
Tilly是編輯，也是記者而且和我不同。她擅長於任何事情。
「那啥，Magee，」你認為我們下一周應該放哪一種類型的故事？「
Tilly 問我，當我們走到報社房間。
我聳了聳肩。
我從沒讀過報紙。
「目前為止我們有關於寵物的，關於新教師，還有一些關於Cramble老師的布穀鳥鍾收藏品的故事。」她繼續說道。
「真的？」我說。
我從沒讀過報紙，這是毫無疑問的。
就在此時，我看見有一些東西進入了我的視線。
這看起來是Brad BIggens 偷偷溜進了辦公室
「你看見了那個嗎？」我向Tilly低聲說道並示意她安靜。
她看上去很茫然。
「你還稱自己是記者，」我說道，拉著她和我一起繞著了一處建築物。
「看，」我低聲耳語道，當Brad手裡拿著點東西在他手上且出來的時候。
他迅速把東西放在自己的襯衫下，並跑向大門。
在我們能看見更多東西之前，他跳上他的自行車並且騎著它溜走了。
Chapter 2 Good Headline
「這兒是有一個故事。」我對Tilly說道。
「我現在能見得頭條新聞了：糟糕的Brad在辦公室偷東西！」
TIlly盯著我搖了搖她的頭，「我並不認可，Magee。現在，我需要一些關於餅干製作比賽的有益的東西。」
「餅干製作者拿了第一名，」我叫道。
Tilly眨了眨她的雙眸。
「跟我來，Tilly，」我說道，「如果我們沒有有趣的故事，我們至少會有一些好的頭條新聞。」
到了周五下午，我開始喜歡工作於報社。我想出許多頭條新聞，盡管Tilly說我們真的不得不有故事。
當Tilly飛奔進報社房間時，我正在寫一個故事。「我剛再次看見他！」她叫道。
「誰？」現在換成我看上去茫然了。
「Brad Biggens，」她說道。「你是對的，他有帶上一些東西。快，帶上照相機，讓我們出發。」
Tilly開始有了一個像記者想出來的主意。
Chapter 3 Following The Story【跟隨著故事走】

Tilly和我都停下了腳步。我們能看見一些東西在上面。

「看上去他丟了一些他應該撿起的東西。」我低聲說。
「讓我們去看看那是什麼。」當Brad在校門口消失了的時候，Tilly說。
當我們去到樹籬，Tilly彎下腰推開一些樹葉。那裡有Brad 的夾克，裡面藏著兩個學校辦公室的筆記本電腦。
Chapter 4 SNAPPED！
當天黑之後，Brad返回撿起電腦。
當他察覺到我們在他身後時，他正在彎下腰去拿在樹籬底下的夾克。
在我的相機拍下他的時候他正轉過來看著我們。
在我的一生中我從未見到任何人看上去這樣驚恐-特別是Cramble老師帶著倆警員做出黑暗的地方時。
Tilly帶著她的錄音機向前沖過去。
「Brad Biggens，你有什麼想說的嗎？」
「我被陷害了！」他尖叫著，當警員帶走他的時候。
「我並不認同！」Tilly叫道。「我們有你今天下午在這里藏筆記本的照片.」
在我的下一張照片，一束光照亮了Brad罪惡的臉龐。
