在Dan Thompson社长的带领下，加拿大轮胎安装公司准备给那些需要帮助的孩子们提供机会，让他们可以去参加社区组织的体育活动。公司只能帮助4到18岁的孩子，并且参与者必须经过合作委员会的审查，以确定他们确实有经济困难。而且社团组织申请经费的目的也应该是非盈利性的。
这个计划是由这个前奥运游泳运动员构想出来的，目的是为了帮助孩子们通过参加一个攀登乞力马扎罗山的筹款履行去联系城市的游泳馆。
不仅Thompson计划在这个春天前召集一些社区的孩子参加在Javis Collegiate举行的水上项目，就连多伦多市的市民也愿意为Jarvis游泳池花大价钱。由于TDSB把这个游泳池规定为需要关闭的游泳池之一，活动因此被推迟了。
“这太疯狂了，光是看着这些设备可能被毫无理由的关闭就感到一种罪恶感。”
两个人的父亲希望征集5万美元来支持多伦多学校的这个活动。

Adam Johnson以前是一名成人三项全能的教练，他曾经读过一篇关于tdsb要关闭39座游泳池的文章。所以他辞掉了在市中心的工作并且开始在高中教3个孩子三项全能中的游泳项目，这三个孩子都还不到5岁，但是会参加那个活动。
“Humberside是我们孩子们的高中，我和妻子都很喜欢运动，如果这里的游泳池还能存在几年那该有多好。”
在东区，Christina Kaufman开办了六年的Family Fun Fit三项全能活动就要停止了，这是因为他负担不起到Birchmout社区参加训练的费用。她每90分钟需要花费235美元，而在Monarch公园训练只需花费75美元，因为aufmann已经在这里争取到了两周一次的长期训练机会。

On April 28th, my classmates and I went to the park near my school where we took part in a volunteer labor.
We got there at nine o'clock. After divided into three groups, we began to work.
Each group had their own tasks. Group one planted trees and watered flowers. Group Two picked up litter left by tourists and cleaned the benches. My group wiped all the equipment in Children's Playground. Each of us worked hard.
At about half past eleven, we finished working. Though we were tired,we were happy. It was a meaningful day for us because we had done a good deed.
五一前夕——4月28日，我和我的同学去学校附近的公园参加了一次公益劳动。
我们九点钟到公园。分成三个小组后，我们就开始干了起来。每个小组有各自的任务：一组种树、浇花；二组捡拾游人丢弃的果皮纸屑；我们组擦拭了儿童游乐场所有的设施。大家干得都很起劲。
大约十一点半，我们结束了劳动。尽管我们都很累，却很高兴。这一天对于我们大家来说都很有意义，因为我们做了一件好事。
