长跑·毅力·人生
暑假期间，我有幸拜读了法国著名科学幻想小说家儒勒·凡尔纳笔下的著名三部曲：《格兰特船长的儿女》、《海底两万里》、《神秘岛》中的第一部——《格兰特船长的儿女》。
这部小说描写了苏格兰籍游船“邓肯”号的船主格里那凡爵士在一个悠然的机会而到了两年前因海事遇难失踪的苏格兰航海家哈里·格兰特发出的求救漂流瓶，他请求英国政府派遣船队去寻找。可英国政府对苏格兰人一直很歧视，竟拒绝了爵士的请求。格里那凡爵士对英国的这种态度感到异常气愤，于是他依然组织了一支小型旅行队，亲自带队去完成寻找格兰特船长的任务。他带着格兰特船长的一双儿女，沿着南纬37度穿越了南美洲的高山和草原，横贯了澳大利亚和新西兰，环绕了地球一周。一路上，他们经历了无数的艰难险阻，终于在太平洋的一个荒岛上找到了格兰特船长。
小说中，最令人敬畏的是格里那凡爵士无比的毅力和他那克服困难的勇气。也正是文中所体现出的坚强的毅力震撼着读者的心灵。

其实，我们的人生就如长跑，从长跑中我们不但可以感悟人生，更能享受人生。
你别小看了开始起跑的那一两圈，别以为那是多么轻松、舒坦，它关系着你以后的跑速，这正如我们小时侯养成的习惯，好的，将来终生受益，坏的，必然抱憾终生。
中间的那几圈，有点吃力了。脚上像灌了铅似的，每跨越一步，都在考验一个人的毅力和意志，望望前面还有那么几圈，此时，在你后面的人渐渐追了上来，或者超越了你，这正如我们人生中所遇到的挫折，许多人不堪一击，一头躲进了“避风港”，躲进了“蜗牛壳”，不理世事，难怪有人会说：“我活得太累了……”从此，他们原谅了自己，不再拼搏，不再奋斗，可他们却殊不知，从此，生活抛弃了他们，幸福之神也不见光顾。
最难熬，最辛苦的要数人生的最后几圈，也就是冲刺的那几圈。那时，人的题宁以超越了极限，唯一支持他们得知有必胜的信念。这使得他们，非但没有松懈下来，而且，凭着一股顽强的毅力，惊人的毅力，赢得了最后的胜利，成为全国人民的骄傲！
再回过头来，看看小说中的格里那凡爵士一行人，他们为了营救格兰特船长，在茫茫无际的大海上前进，惊涛骇浪，暴风骤雨考验着他们。他们全然不顾自己的生命，与生命搏击，与毅力较量，最后终于在一个荒岛上找到了船长。
这个故事一直流传至今，值得人们颂扬。

This is a novel by the English author Daniel Defoe, published in 1719. It is one of the most popular adventure novels in all literature. It is the story of Bobinson Crusoe, an Englishman who is shipwrecked in a lonely tropical island. He builds himself a hut, grows his own food, and becomes self-sufficient. After 23 years he meets with a group of cannibals and rescues one of their prisoners, a young native whome he calls Friday.Crusoe and his“man”Friday become close friends, and when they are finally rescued four years later, both return to England.
Robinson Crusoe was partly based on the actual deeds of Alexander Selkirk, an 18th-century Scottish sailor who spent almost five years alone on a desert island. This novel is famous for its lovely details and its expression of belief in man's ability when left alone in nature.

In this summer holidays, I read a book called < Great Expectations>, it was written by Charles Dickens, one of the most famous English writers. He wrote lots of wonderful novels. This book is one of his compositions.
People always like to compare with their friends. It is a big foible of all the people. If other people have a lot of money, we also want to be rich. If all the people around us are poor , we never mind that we are very poor, too. we will not ashamed because of our folly. This is a social problem.
If we never possess anything, we will not mind we lost some thing. Since we don’t want to be very rich ,we will not feel despond because poor.
The protagonist of this novel is Pip (Handel). His parents died when he was a baby. His sister had brought him up ‘by hand’. His sister married to Joe Gargery, the village blacksmith. They didn’t have much money, and Pip never went to school to study. But he was often very happy .Because all of his friends are like him. It isn’t very unfortunate to them, this is their lives. But by a chance, Pip helped a convict; he gave much food to him. Then he met Miss Havisham, a very strange old woman and she was very rich.
Four years later, Miss Havisham wants Pip to be removed from his home and ecated as a gentleman who expects inherit a fortune when he grow up.
After hearing that . Pip started to despise his poor friends. He even feel ashamed because he live with the poor man . Pip’s ‘great expectations’ destroyed his life.
This novel told us that we cannot compare with others .Don’t feel envy at the others money. And if one day you be very rich , please don’t despise your poor friends.
