某中学初三学生郑某，听班里同学们说，学校附近常有人抢钱，于是他就从地摊上买了一把弹簧刀，整天带在身上。一天在放学回家的路上，他看见同班的两名学生被另外几名学生拦住，即拔刀相助，结果将对方的两名学生扎伤，其中一名学生伤势较重。郑某因伤害他人被公安机关收审。私自购买、保存、携带管制刀具，郑某既给他们造成了伤害，自己也因此付出了惨痛的代价
无独有偶，2002年也有一所中学发生了一起惨案。女学生孙平是个自尊心很强的姑娘，因从小不慎落下了残疾后，除了自卑以外，她特别忌讳别人拿她的残疾取乐。初中二年级，同班的男生杨立还偏爱开玩笑，不是逗这个同学几句，就是给那个同学起个外号。他不仅经常拿孙平的残疾取乐，还给孙平起了一个外号，孙平非常气恼。一天中午放学后，孙平背着书包准备回家，刚出校门，突然被一群小学生团团围住。他们拍着手，跳着脚，有节奏的喊着杨立给孙平起的外号。受到侮辱的孙平气得直掉眼泪。她知道又是杨立搞的鬼。从此，孙平对杨立怀恨在心，开始伺机寻找报复杨立的机会。
这天中午，孙平约杨立到村里的小树林里玩，杨立爽快地答应了。他们一起来到小树林的深处，刚才还有说有笑的孙平，脸突然往下一沉指着杨说：“你知道我为什么叫你到这里来吗？”杨立还没反应过来是怎么回事，就被早有准备的孙平抱住。随后，孙平突然又从腰间抽出一把水果刀，朝杨立腹部狠狠刺去。杨立在惨叫中跪倒在地，鲜血不断从伤口涌出，杨立用颤抖的声音指着孙平问：“你为什么要杀我，……你竟敢杀人，你要杀死我……”孙平咬牙切齿的说：“我今天就是要来教训你的，让你再给我起外号……”。说着更用力的朝杨立的身上刺下去。经过一番痛苦的挣扎，杨立流尽了最后一滴血。结束了他短短的一生。孙平拿一把铁锹，挖了一个坑，一边挖还一边说：“让你给我起外号，让你给我起外号！……”坑挖好了，孙平抬脚狠狠将杨立踢进坑里。将杨立掩埋后，孙平拍拍身上的土，骑着自行车子回家了。
16岁的少女孙平因犯故意杀人罪判处有期徒刑十九年。
这是一个不该发生的悲剧，然而它却真实地发生了。
身体的残疾本已不幸，更不幸的是心灵的残疾。人生路上难免有挫折和不幸，在不幸目前，更要做一个心灵坚强的人。只有用自尊、自强、自爱的信念来支撑自己的人生，才能真正赢得他人的尊重。如果经不起人他人的嘲笑就做出傻事，只能说明自己内心的软弱。在面对自己的残疾和他人的嘲笑时，孙平更应该有一颗坚强的心。
未成年人是祖国的未来，民族的希望。他们正值美丽的花季，却不幸在犯罪的诱惑下过早地凋谢。这一幕幕触目惊心的场面，这一个个令人发指的事件，无不带给我们以心灵的震撼。
少年的犯罪问题一直是全社会关注的热点，同时也是社会不稳定的因素，近年来，我国未成年犯罪呈上升趋势，而且出现了手段成人化、年龄低龄化、团伙化、高智商化等新特点，已成为危害社会治安的一个亟待解决的社会问题，海南省公安厅提供的一份来自中国青少年犯罪研究会的统计资料表明，近年来，青少年犯罪总数已经占到了全国刑事犯罪总数的70％以上，其中十五六岁少年犯罪案件又占到了青少年犯罪案件总数的70％以上。
是什么原因造成未成年人犯罪的案件不断发生呢？我认为首先家庭教育的诸多缺陷是青少年犯罪的重要原因。据有关资料反映，有50%左右的未成年人违法犯罪就是不良家庭教育和家庭环境的受害者。
其次，社会的不良文化给青少年犯罪以潜移默化的诱导。社会文化中的网络暴力、色情、武打影视、武侠小说等不健康信息对未成年人行为模式的建立产生了巨大的影响。
此外，有些学校片面追求升学率，法制教育流于形式。导致许多青少年学生缺乏正确的理想信念，不知什么是违法，什么是犯罪，缺乏普通的法律常识，头脑中没有辨别是非的标准，不懂法、不知法，也就谈不上遵纪守法，这是导致青少年犯罪的又一个重要原因。
未成年人是祖国的花朵，祖国的希望和未来，是我国社会主义现代化建设事业的接班人，邓小平同志早就指出：“法制教育要从娃娃抓起”，加强对未成年人的法制宣传教育，对未成年人进行保护和犯罪预防是全社会的共同职责。预防是减少犯罪的最有效的办法，预防未成年人犯罪是对未来的珍惜，是对社会的负责。

作为跨世纪的一代，我们又该以怎样的姿态去适应新世纪，担起新世纪的重担呢？ 科学技术的日新月异，使得科学不只为尖端技术服务，也越来越多地渗透到我们的日常生活之中，这就需要正处于青少年时代的我们热爱科学，学习科学。参加科技“五小”比赛、阅读科技书籍，使我明白了许多道理。精密的机器人，不用燃料的汽车，虚拟的足球赛，高科技信息的传送等等，一个个生动有趣的现象，激起了我探索科学的愿望。
我们每个人都要学习科学，传播文明，在享受新生活的同时，更要创造新生活，如今，科技产品的更新换代不断加快，可视电视、电脑上网、心脏起搏器，已经不算新鲜了。从1901年发明的真空吸尘器，到人造地球卫星、载人宇宙飞船，科技在不同领域里显示出了强大的力量。电子产业、通讯技术的日益普及，纳米技术、超导材料的广泛应用，不久的一天，也许就在你的餐桌上，会出现像太空青椒、人造牛排等生物工程食品。学习科学技术，不仅仅是为了成为科学家，也是为了能适应生活，更为了能成为新世纪的主人，担起新世纪，为国家建设，为人类文明做出贡献。
新中国成立以来，我国的科技发展突飞猛进，人工合成胰岛素、断手再植、杂交水稻、爆炸原子弹和氢弹、发射人造卫星和飞船等等，这些令世人瞩目的科技成就，大大缩短了我国和先进国家的科学技术的差距，为我国的现代化建设注入了活力。邓小平爷爷说“科学技术是第一生产力”，的确如此，科学为我们祖国的腾飞插上了翅膀。毛泽东主席曾对青年说，世界是你们的，也是我们的，但归根结底是你们的。这句话，饱含了长辈们对我们的殷切期望。如果说长辈们用辛勤的劳动建设了20世纪的祖国，那么，我们就应该以知识、以科学担起新世纪的重担。
