英語里，quarter這個單詞表示 四分之一，用在時間里就是一個小時的四分之回一，也就是15分鍾。7：45，可以說成答 a quarter to eight，意思就是差15分鍾8點；也可以這么說：three quarters past seven（不過一般用前一種說法，習慣）。
