第一步：不要看書，將整篇課文聽寫下來。如果有的詞聽不出來，猜測該詞應該是什麼，實在聽不出來就不勉強。隨著聽寫的增多，聽力會逐漸增強。在聽的過程中，也可加深對英語發音的認識。而且實踐證明，如果能達到一聽就懂的程度，你的腦子里英語翻譯成漢語的現象就會消失，閱讀理解的能力一定會大大提高。

第二步：把聽寫下來的文章與原文比對，查找錯誤，知道自己錯在哪，以後今後如何避免。

第三步：跟著磁帶反復跟讀課文。注意各單詞的讀音以及語調等問題，語音語調盡量模仿磁帶，力求接近磁帶上的。

第二部分，詞彙。

新概念教材課文里所學習的單詞都是最基本、最常用的詞彙，所以大家一定要掌握。對於意思不太明白的，最好用英英詞典或者雙解詞典查閱並掌握其含義。

第三部分，語法和閱讀。

建議大家進行課後的習題練習和同步測試，鞏固學習內容，檢驗學習效果。尤其是，新概念每課都有一個自己的核心語法內容，這就要求學生要將每課的這一個語法掌握。如果個別同學感覺自己的語法和閱讀水平較差的，最好選擇一些與自己水平相當的語法教材和英語分級閱讀讀物來進行課外學習，以提高英語實力。

第四部分，寫作。

很多人不知道如何借學習新概念來提高自己的寫作能力，其實這也是有法可循的。你可以在接觸一篇新的課文前，先不要看它的英文，而是根據它的中文翻譯自己寫再翻譯成英語，然後再和原文對照，這樣一經對比，就可以找到自己寫作的弱點和問題，及時修正，日久積累，從而獲得提高。特別是第三冊和第四冊裡面的一些美文，就為大家提供了相當好的寫作方法和經典範文。

第五部分，背誦。

在學習過程中，背誦一些經典課文將對英語的記憶、理解非常有益。尤其對於英語初學者而言，通過背誦課文可以加深對英語的記憶，在頭腦中形成固定的記憶區域，這是一個由量變到質變的過程。很多經典的句型、語法、詞彙，通過背誦課文，都可以十分有效地長駐背誦者心中，這樣一來，同學們的閱讀、語法和寫作，能夠同時得到提高。

We all have a common home. She provides us with enough food, enough water and enough living room. We get everything from the nature to live better, but we donnot do anything to protect her. Our environment is being polluted faster than nature and man's present efforts can prevent. Time is bringing us more people, and more people will bring us more instry.
