I was just 84 and in pretty good health，意思是，「（他都行）為什麼我不行呢？老娘才84歲而且身體倍兒棒」。結合這兩句話你可以看出來作者是舉了喬治布希80歲跳傘的例子為自己下面作「聲援」的，運用了舉例論證。就好像我說，「老子偷你點兒錢怎麼了，貢纏檔還天天偷大家的呢！」——後面一句是運用了例子為前面提供了有力的論據。足見這道題選D，意為使作者的論點更加具有說服力

英語二一直都被認作是比英語一難度較低的一張卷子，從整體來說，從題型分配等角度上來看，確實是比英語一稍稍簡單一些，同時，也更適合去考前沖刺。

試卷構成。英語二整張試卷滿分為一百分，其中第一題是完形填空題分值為10分，第二題為閱讀理解題分值為40分，第三題，新題型分值為10分，第四個題為翻譯題15分，最後大小作文共25分。

首先是完形填空題，完型填空題會在一篇文章當中挖出20個空，然後讓學生匹配選項，每一道題當個題的分值是0.5, 那也就是意味著我們這個題，它的性價比是比較低的,學生需要在10到15分鍾左右的時間那做20道題，然後最後滿分就沒十分,所以這個起就涉及到取捨;

那麼第二題呢，但從分值上來看，他一定是非常重要的一個題型了，在整張卷子當中，他要佔到接近一半的分數，這是相當大的一個分數比例，所以是同學們的備考中難點;

第三題為新題型，整體來說，英語二的新題型相對來說比較簡單，只要同學掌握做題技巧都是可以答得很好的，拿到六到八分，沒有什麼太大的問題。

第四題也是一個翻譯題，我們的英語二翻譯實際上是對一個150詞左右的小短文進行翻譯，而且全部是英譯漢，那這個翻譯題的話就需要同學們有一定的詞彙基礎，實際上對於一些基礎比較薄弱的同學來說的話，這個題其實是不太適合去突擊的，那就意味著這個可能需要大家長時間的語言積累詞彙語法以及翻譯技巧的掌握，這個是需要時間去慢慢搞的;
