One thing, however, is certain: your chances of getting the raise you feel you deserve are less if you don’t at least ask for it. 英語等級考試是沒有10級的，對於國內的考試來說大學生英語專業分為4級和6級，6級最高;大學生英語專業則分為4級和8級，8級最高。

拓展閱讀：英語考級技巧
一、 聽力
(1)利用放聽力試聽材料和讀題的時間，快速的閱讀題目，並且把選項中的關鍵詞畫出來。有時會有兩個選項的關鍵詞是對立的，這時正確答案就從這對立的選項中選。
(2)短對話，在看完所有的選項後，試著猜測聽力的內容會是那方面的。
(3)短文聽寫，跟據空格所在的位置，判斷應該填什麼詞性的單詞，注意單復數的形式。句子聽寫，第一遍時一定要聽懂整句的意思，不要上來就開始寫，往往後半句再搏氏飢說什麼都沒聽見。同學貴在多加練習，把技巧運用嫻熟，正確率才會上來。

(1)建議大家先看題目，再看問題
我們建議大家一個時間比例，一加四加四的模式，一分鍾時間把後面的題目看一下，分別是考什麼方向，考詞彙，還是考推理，還是考細節。做一個分析以後，看文章的時候，你發現，我這個題目主要是關注什麼東西?比如說後面有的題目是看主題的。你要看文章時，就要關注這個文章主題。如果你發現後面的題目是關注一個細節。你看文章的時候，要注意文章的一些細節。如果後面的題目看得基返有效，看文章，閱讀的任務也會非常明確。
(2)做題時間如何合理分配
如果程序合理化以後，我們要有另外一些東西注意一下，比如考試時間的分布，剛才我們建議了，每一篇文章可能我們需要注意什麼東西。比如這個時間，一篇文章可能是一加四加四，這樣的時間，用九到十分鍾時間分析一下我們這篇文章，完成文章的一個講解和閱讀。
(3)如何克服閱讀太慢或特快的問題
有的同學，閱讀太快這個概念，有的同學，在做題過程當中，總是怕時間不夠，所以他拚命往下做，往下趕時間，導致的結果是，很多同學在做題過程中，第一篇文章，感覺什麼都沒看懂，結果開始做題了。他在回到文章，再去分析文章本身，而導致的結果是時間被浪費了。所以你就明白，過於求快，實際上結果是變慢了。建議大家在考試過程當中，不要太快，心理的緊張因素，要克服。怎麼克服我們的太快這個問題。其實，我們有很多方法，而一個最貼近的方法，就是我們在看文章的時候，要注意我們的做標記的方法。邊看，要做一些標記，這個文章，哪地方是轉折性的語言，哪個地方是因果關系，或者是比較關系。一些重要的語言現象稍微關注一下。
另外有一個相反的錯誤，就是閱讀太慢，為什麼會閱讀太慢，其實有很多。第一個，可能有一些閱讀的不良習慣導致的。有的同學看文章，都是一個單詞，一個單詞往下看，視野的寬度比較窄，具體可以經過鍛煉，比方說每一眼看下去，能夠看核亮兩到三個單詞，後來可以擴展到四到五個，視野寬度，可能沒有時間去練習，建議大家要注意另外一些方法。比方說要明白這個文章哪些是重點要考，哪些是次要考的。

1 先看題目 劃出重點詞語 比如是MAIN IDEA 還是 INFER
2 看文章要是嫌單詞多 麻煩 就重點看幾句關鍵句 通常四級考試的閱讀會把每段的中心句放在一段的開頭和末尾 切記切記
3 要是有實在摸稜兩可的題目 就去原文找原句 還是判斷不出 就選第一感覺
4 看的眼花繚亂 先寫作文 實在來不及就選幾個看著相近的答案就可以了
但要注意答案的分布不可能連著五個都是A 所以要研究研究
