如何練習英語四級閱讀:
一、養成二次閱讀習慣,培養邏輯推理能力
在做英語四級閱讀題目時,非常重要的一點就是要提高邏輯推理能力。在平時閱讀練習中,第一遍讀文章時,我們應當模擬英語四級考試的緊張氣氛,盡量高質快速。對完答案後,我們就有充足的時間再次閱讀文章,第二次閱讀文章的目的不再是獲取信息,而是把握文章的布局安排,分析作者的意圖。
我們必須帶著思考再次閱讀文章,問問自己以下問題:如果自己寫同樣題目或題材的文章,會採取何種文章布局?如果我們自己設想的布局與作者不同,那麼具體不同之處在何處?這篇文章與以前讀過的同體裁文章相比,有何特點?講求速度的泛讀是應試的技巧,要想真正培養邏輯推理能力,提高閱讀水平,還非二次閱讀不可。文章是永遠讀不完的,去讀200篇各種模擬閱讀題,倒不如踏踏實實讀50篇地道的文章。
二、自己學寫長句,克服長難句障礙
幾乎每一篇閱讀,總有一兩句長難句。有許多同學分析不出什麼名堂。聽力好的同學不一定發音好,可發音好的同學不一定聽力好。同樣,能寫出長難句的人當然不會怕什麼長難句。
我們應當找一本好的語法書,認認真真學習句子結構部分。一開始,應當學會如何寫出簡單的基本句型,然後再通過附加各種從句、插入語、非謂語形式,來逐步擴充句子結構。
分析長難句與擴充句子正好是反其道而行之,我們一步步「砍」去插入語、各種從句、非謂語形式,來獲得句子主幹。「欲簡之必先擴之」,我們與其尋求各種長難句分析法,不如先學會自己寫長句,逐步掌握英語四級應試技巧。
三、文章歸類閱讀,考前復習有奇效
閱讀文章成千上萬,如何把握規律才是關鍵。如果我們把自己讀過的所有文章按照主題分類,比如分為校園類、醫學類、家庭類、環境類等等,到了考前,再按類別復習這些文章,我們就不僅能系統掌握某一類別文章常用的詞彙,也能把握該類文章的結構特點和出題規律。一開始就制定分類標准,每做完一篇文章就在其標題後或首句前註明文章的類別,這樣到了英語四級考試之前就胸有成竹,歸納起來也容易多了。
