1.擴大詞彙量

3.掌握有效的閱讀方法

英語閱讀常用的方法有以下幾種:

(1)猜測詞義

在閱讀的過程中不可避免會遇到生詞, 如果一遇到生詞就查字典或忽略不看都會影響對文章的理解, 因此我們可以利用上下文中的同義關系、反義關系猜測詞義根據整個句子的意義猜測詞義以及利用語法知識、構詞法知識等猜測來幫助我們來理解文章。

(2)略讀

通過整體粗讀,領略內容大意, 幫助理解, 為仔細的理解文章的內容做准備。尋找主題句, 獲取大意, 找出每段的主題。一篇文章通常是圍繞一個中心展開的。在進行閱讀課教學時要有意識地培養學生找出主題句, 抓住中心, 使學生理解主題句與文章的具體事實細節的關系, 沒有主題句的段落就引導學生依靠段落中的銜接、句際關系來分析、推斷和概括段落的大意,從而達到整體理解的目的, 獲得文章表達的正確的信息。

(3)尋讀

即快速查找某一相關信息, 如年代、人名、地名、數字等做到心中有數, 對不相關的內容一帶而過, 重點是掌握你想要得到的信息。

(4)細讀

所謂細讀, 就是要一句一句仔細地閱讀, 抓住每一個細節, 注意語言結構, 處理語言點, 抓住主要事實, 關鍵信息, 揭示文章結構的內在聯系, 幫助深化理解。一篇文章是一個有機的整體, 段落與段落之間存在著內在的緊密聯系, 而每段的內容都與主題有著很重要的聯系, 所以弄清文章結構上的問題,對於把握文章主題、文章大意非常重要。

(5)多了解英語國家的文化背景知識

文化背景知識對於正確理解文章內容起著很大的作用。因此, 教師應指導學生多讀各類相關的書籍, 材料是最可靠最豐富的文化背景知識來源, 尤其是那些包含著豐富的文化內容的材料和短篇小故事。同時, 讓學生觀看一些英語影片, 尤其是介紹外國文化的短片。在教學中, 教師也要引導學生從習慣的英美文化背景中來學習語言, 否則學生表達出來的英語語言則是不規范的Chinese English。總之, 讓學生盡可能多地了解英語國家的文化背景知識, 有利於英語閱讀理解能力的提高。
