眾所周知，學生閱讀理解能力的培養是中學英語學習的一項重要任務，對學生進行閱讀理解能力的考查也是現在中考的一項重要內容。《義務教育英語課程標准》對初中階段閱讀技能的培養也提出了明確的要求：「能根據上下文和構詞法推斷、理解生詞的含義;能找出文章中的主題;能讀懂常見體裁的閱讀材料;能根據不同的閱讀目的運用簡單的閱讀策略獲取信息。」造成初中學生英語閱讀理解能力不理想的原因是多方面的。如有的教師過分重視知識點的'分析而忽略了指導學生對語篇的整體理解;有的教師過分重視閱讀的結果而忽略了過程的指導;學生閱讀的材料形式單一;學生的閱讀習慣不好，如逐字閱讀、出聲朗讀等等。

正是由於上面的許多原因阻礙了學生閱讀理解能力的提高，因此，英語教師如果想要提高學生的閱讀理解能力，必須採取行之有效的方法。

一、通過多種途徑，激發學生閱讀的興趣

閱讀能力與學生的興趣等非智力因素密切相關，學生對閱讀能否產生濃厚的興趣是閱讀教學成敗的關鍵。所以，在閱讀教學過程中，教師不僅要避免呆板和枯燥的教學形式，還要通過各種有趣的課堂教學活動提高學生的興趣。教師要做到讓學生由「要我讀」變成「我要讀」。我們都知道初中生對未知世界充滿強烈的好奇心，其求知慾也很強，但缺乏毅力和恆心。所以，教師一方面要充分開發和利用學生的好奇心，引導學生積極閱讀;另一方面要通過多種渠道和途徑實施教學，培養學生持久的閱讀興趣。例如，對於一些科普類的文章，其內容比較枯燥乏味，為了使學生能對科技產生興趣，教師可以在初步介紹文章內容之後，播放一些與科技內容相關的短片，激發學生學習科學知識的慾望。例如，在教學新目標英語八（下）Unit1 Do you think you will have your own robot？這篇文章的時候，我在初步介紹這篇文章內容之後，就播放一些有關機器人的視頻資料，比如像狗造型的機器人可做廣播體操及表演倒立等各種動作，還有類似人造型的機器人會表演舞蹈和跑步等各種動作。這樣一來，學生學習的慾望被激發了，他們就會帶著一種「我要讀」的思想學習這篇文章。

二、實施交互模式，進行閱讀課的教學

「授之以魚，不如授之以漁。」在英語閱讀教學中僅僅停留在詞句的分析和理解層次上是遠遠不夠的，在現實生活中起不到真正的交際作用。在教學中，教師要教給學生學習的「鑰匙」，即如何有效地進行閱讀課文的學習。新目標英語從八年級下冊開始，每個單元都有Reading部分，而且每一篇閱讀的文章都訓練一種閱讀策略和技能。閱讀理解的教學模式一般有自下而上（Bottom-up）、自上而下（Top-down）和平行模式/交互模式（Parallel/Interactive）三種，而閱讀理解的教學模式一般以交互模式為佳。它的基本路徑為：自上而下→自下而上模式。從這個觀點出發，我們一般把閱讀課文的教學分為三個階段：pre-reading，while-reading，post-reading。下面我就結合我的教學實際，對如何實施這三個階段做一個詳細的介紹。

閱讀活動這個環節的主要目的不僅是要提高學生的閱讀理解能力，獲取和提煉信息的能力，還要引導學生在語境中感知和學習新語言知識，包括語言結構、詞彙和語篇知識。閱讀活動這個環節一般要經過掃讀理解→略讀質疑→細讀賞析的步驟來使自己最終了解文章的細節、段落大意及段落間的聯系，加深對整篇文章的理解。此外，設計閱讀活動這個環節要注意：不要第一遍閱讀就直接進入有關細節的閱讀，還有讀中活動設計的層次性要強。例如，在教學新目標英語九年級Unit 9 Do you know when basketball was invented？ 這篇文章的時候，我先要求學生快速閱讀（skimming）這篇課文，找出文章的主旨大意――It』s about the invention of basketball. 然後要求學生進一步閱讀課文（scanning），把各個段落和它們的主旨大意配對：Paragraphs 12：Basketball is played everywhere.Paragraph 3：The origin of basketball. Paragraph 4： How to play basketball？Paragraph 5：The history of basketball.最後讓學生分段落細讀課文（close-reading），完成「腦中構圖」的圖表。 3.讀後活動（post-reading）

三、選取多樣化的題材和體裁，培養學生的閱讀理解能力

大家都知道，中考閱讀理解閱讀材料選取的題材廣泛，包括幽默故事、語言文化、休閑娛樂、社會時事、科普知識等。選取的體裁也多樣，包括記敘文、說明文、應用文等。這些材料的內容常常是貼近我們的現實生活，這就意味著閱讀文章的選材范圍很寬。因此我們閱讀訓練的面也要寬，材料要新，語言要地道，要有足夠的輸入量。因為教學實踐證明「教師只有給學生足夠的輸入量，學生才能輸出。」學生只有熟悉各類題材和體裁的文章並進行適當的訓練，才能適應中考的要求。

總之，對學生閱讀理解能力的培養需要經過長期的、有計劃的、有目的的系統訓練，它是一個循序漸進的過程。在新課程背景下，每一個英語教師要逐步培養學生的閱讀興趣，要教會學生運用閱讀策略及有目的地對學生進行閱讀訓練，培養他們的閱讀理解能力。我們相信學生通過這樣持之以恆的訓練，他們的閱讀理解能力也會隨之逐步提高！

英語閱讀理解練習的四個主要目的：

包括：為了閱讀考試、

為了寫作考試、

為了教育

為了興趣。

1、首先，無可否認，做閱讀理解就是為了在最短時間內完成文章後面的題目。

或許正是這個原因，有很多補習社的老師在教閱讀的時候甚至提出不必讀完和讀懂文章也能做出題目的各種技巧。一方面，我覺得確實存在一些小的技巧能夠幫助我們在沒有讀懂全文的情況下，完成一些詢問細節的題目，例如賽達中會考到一些生僻單詞在語境中的意思;但另一方面，我認為學生還是應該將把握文章的大致意思作為一項主要的目標，這不僅能夠幫助我們更好的完成一些考察主旨的題目，而且更重要的是，能讓我們覺得做閱讀理解是一件有意義的事，而沒有在這個過程中被異化為考試的機器。

2、其次，英語閱讀理解應該能夠幫助我們更好的學習英語寫作。

目前的大部分補習社將聽說讀寫分開來教的安排其實是值得商榷的。大家都知道，要想文章寫得好，就必須大量的閱讀和模仿。閱讀理解對於寫作的好處至少有兩方面：首先是閱讀能擴寬我們的知識面和思路，這對於很多無話可說的寫作考生來說尤其重要;其次是閱讀能幫助我們熟悉英語的語法和詞彙，特別是句子的結構以及單詞在句子中的運用，如果能將這些技巧運用到寫作中去，那麼寫作能力一定會大大提高。

3、前面說的這兩條都是應試方面的目的。

然而，學習的目的不應該只是為了考試。對於參加出國考試的同學來說，考到一個好的成績固然很重要，但等我們一旦拿到offer，這些成績就不再重要了，而真正重要的是在備考過程中我們學會的各種技巧、知識以及理念。我會將閱讀理解的第三個目的歸結為受教育，或者說成為一個更加有文化的人。本來，文化在漢語中的字面意思就是用文字來教化，那麼閱讀自然是教化的一個重要手段。而對於即將出國受教育的同學，通過閱讀來接受英語文化的熏陶，正是我們本應該追求的目標。因此，我們在做閱讀理解時應該時刻提醒自己，正在通過這些英語的文本和某位作者進行交流，並通過這位作者來了解異域的文化和風情。或許，有了這一種心態和目的，閱讀對於我們來說就不再是一種負擔了。

4、最後，我覺得即使以受教育或者了解文化為目的仍然帶有較強的功利色彩。

如孔子所說，“知之者不如好之者，好之者不如樂之者。”閱讀理解的終極目的，我認為是為了能夠更好的理解作者想要表達的信息和意境，通過接觸比自己更加睿智、淵博的心靈來提升自己，讓自己從中獲得快樂與幸福。作為一名賽達閱讀老師，我和我的學生站在一個嶄新的起點上，在他們的前路上有許多偉大的文學巨匠、科學大師和思想家在美國大學的教科書和閱讀材料里等待著他們。我有責任幫助他們發現閱讀的樂趣，幫助他們踏上終身享受閱讀與學習的快樂之旅。

記敘文閱讀主要抓四大要素，即時間、地點、人物和事件起因、發展和結果，以及人物之間的關系、表現，從中分析他們思想品質、性格特徵等;議論文是闡明作者對人或事好壞的立場觀點，因此在閱讀時必須正確把握文章的論點和論據，理清論證思路，再進行邏輯推理得出結論;應用文是最貼近日常生活的文體，它包括通知、廣告、便條、申請書、個人簡歷，形式多樣，題材各異，如圖示、表格、地址、網址等，對這類文體的閱讀應簡明扼要地抓住所需信息，理解文章內容。

統覽全篇摘錄要點

閱讀理解是對整個文章的目的、意圖、觀點、立場、態度以及內在的邏輯關系的理解，而不是斷章取義的一孔之見，所以統覽全篇和問題是很有必要的，這些問題會給你提供信息或暗示文章中的一些重要細節。

如2002年某市中考試卷C篇閱讀並回答問題中，通過對全篇的布局謀篇以及問題的設置看到的不是片言只語，而從中感悟到人文思想的`體現，人類和自然界生態相輔相成的關系，從而得出第6小題：From the passage, we learn that___.答案為B。

即：The rainforest people have done something to protect their home.

在統覽全篇的同時要注意要點的摘錄，因為一些顯性的答案是可以從要點中直接回答，而隱性的答案則是要通過對全篇的理解才能得出。統覽全篇，摘錄要點亦有利於檢查時節省時間。

開動腦筋推測詞意

初中英語學科教學基本要求規定，學生能根據上下文推測詞義，並能不藉助詞典讀懂含有3%生詞的語言材料，換言之，這就是促使學生的知識內化的過程，學生要通過知識內化將內隱的心理活動轉換為外顯的行為，可以藉助以下的幾種方法完成內化過程：

根據上下文猜測詞意

如某市2003年中考模擬題，閱讀B篇中passed away，根據上文的An illness had kept the boy home.和下文寫給Rick的信中可以猜測出意為“去世”。

根據構詞法猜測詞意

前綴un-表反義詞，如：happy--unhappy，fair--unfair，important--unimportant等。

後綴-ment表名詞，如：develop--development，state--statement，argue--argument等。

後綴-er、-or或-ist表同源名詞，如：calculate--calculator，visit---visitor，law--lawyer，wai--waiter，science--scientist，art--artist等。

用知識和生活經驗理解短文

如：根據化學知識，可以理解科普讀物Water is made from oxygen and hydrogen.根據生活經驗可以理解Green plants let out oxygen and breathe in carbon dioxide.

根據邏輯推理理解短文

邏輯推理實際上就是文章的“弦外之音”、“言下之意”。如：閘北區中考模擬卷閱讀C篇回答問題中，根據：Have the police taken your driving licence away, too?可以推斷問題6：Why was the other man riding a bicycle instead of diving a car?的答案為：Because the police had take his driving license away.

再如：Then they cam e to the second picture. The assistant was going to draw the cloth as he did before. As soon as he touched the cloth，he cried, Wonderful It's the best picture I have ever seen!據此可以推斷出第二張畫畫的是一塊布。

條分縷析理解長句

長句是初中生閱讀理解的難點之一，長句中通常包含並列、復合、倒裝等結構，對於這類句子要分清主次，先找出句子的主、謂、賓、定、狀、補，再找出修飾它的從句或短語等。如：Parents whose children show a special interesting particular sport have a difficult decision to make about their children's career.先找出本句的主、謂、賓為Parents have a cession.再找出修飾語Whose children show a special interesting particular sport.為Parents的定語從句，difficult修飾decision，to make about their children's careers為不定式做decision的定語。經過分析，化整為零，化繁為簡，此句就不難理解了。

閱讀理解是英語教學和學生學習的一個重要環節， 但閱讀教學的目的不僅僅在於知識的傳授， 而是對學生綜合運用語言能力的考查，是在學生原有知識水平的基礎上，鞏固擴大學生的知識面，培養和提高閱讀理解的能力，激發學生的積極性，從而更好地構建自主學習的框架。閱讀也是學習英語的主要輸入方式，通過閱讀從書面語言材料中吸取知識和獲取所需信息，閱讀能力的高低決定了能否快速高效吸收有用信息， 同時制約和影響著一個人的聽、說、寫能力的全面發展。

1 影響閱讀理解能力的因素

語言因素。語言因素包括語言知識和語言技能，即學生對字母、單詞、短語、習慣表達法及語法知識等的掌握與運用。閱讀是為了獲取信息，而信息是以語言為表達形式，所以必定會受到語言表達形式的影響。非語言因素。學生閱讀的心理狀態與閱讀理解的有效度有著直接的聯系。如果學生閱讀時，目的明確，信心十足，並有強烈的閱讀慾望，其效果就相對較好。反之，如果學生對閱讀不感興趣。閱讀時處於緊張焦慮狀態，就會產生抵觸心理和厭倦情緒，從而使閱讀理解大打折扣。

2 提高中學生的英語閱讀理解能力應注意的問題

2.1 閱讀興趣的激發

興趣就如同動機或動力。教師在培養學生的閱讀能力過程中，應當選擇一些趣味性強、適於學生心理特點的英文讀物，由淺入深、由易到難，逐漸地讓學生在閱讀的語境中體驗到愉快的情緒，真正地讓學生認識到閱讀並非空洞乏味的活動，而是在閱讀了詞、句、段的字面意義的基礎上領會其深層含義。教師還可以通過各種形式讓學生身臨其境，感知具體的語言信息，以引起閱讀興趣。同時創設問題情境，激起學生的好奇心和求知慾，啟發他們理解上下文， 這樣學生就可以輕松地克服閱讀過程中不正確心理因素的影響，從而以旺盛的精力、飽滿的熱情和很強的探求精神投入到閱讀活動中去。

2.2 背景知識不可缺

培養閱讀理解能力不可缺少的條件之一是要了解有關的背景知識。語言是文化的表現形式，特定的文化背景產生各具特色的語言文化。中學生學習外語，需要了解語言對象國的有關國情知識和語言國情知識、民族的風俗習慣等，不然就會出現在認識多個單詞和句子的情況下， 仍不明白其內涵， 或造成誤解的現象。如A:How do you like this kind of car?B:Oh,it is a Deadsea apple。其中「adead sea apple」來自Bible，傳說是死海沿岸生產一種蘋果，外表鮮嫩，可吃起來卻滿口苦澀味，後來「a deadsea apple」就被用來形容那些虛有其表、敗絮其中的東西。學生若不了解這一文化背景知識，便無法理解這句話的含義。

2.3 詞彙環節需重視

學生在做閱讀理解時往往有以下的通病， 遇到生詞就停下來查字典，找釋義。閱讀過程斷斷續續，往往讀了後面忘記前面，理不清文章的內在邏輯關系，不能從整體上理解文章。因為英語詞彙豐富，單詞量大，在英語閱讀教學中教師應注意培養學生學習和記憶單詞的能力，教給學生多種記憶單詞的方法。

2.4 語法環節也要重視

牢固熟練的掌握好必要的語法知識， 可在閱讀時准確理解作者的意圖，獲得所需的相關信息。語法教學應貫穿於英語教學的始終，在具體教學時如果只講語法規則，只練固定搭配，沒有整體文字檢驗，那麼學生的學和用就會脫節，這樣不利於他們閱讀能力的提高。

2.5 克服不好的閱讀習慣

在閱讀過程中，學生表現出的不好的閱讀習慣有：慢讀、指字、聲讀、默讀、過分復視、逐字閱讀、濫用詞典等。這些不好的閱讀習慣，不僅會大幅度的降低閱讀速度，而且還會分散注意力，破壞思維的連貫性，破壞整體的閱讀效果。

3 提高中學生英語閱讀能力的方法

學生要想提高閱讀理解的能力，除了閱讀英語課文以外，還必須閱讀一些課外短文，以此來培養自己的閱讀能力。但要想獲得多、快、好的閱讀效果，就一定要講究方法和技巧。

3.1 瀏覽文章大意

拿到一篇文章，不要急於閱讀正文，而應先破解文章標題，吃透題目本身的內涵，再根據插圖、注釋、表格等相關的說明性文字，機智地去捕捉文章信息，然後閱讀正文。只要求瀏覽文章大意，不一定字字落實到位。

3.2 關鍵詞

一般來說， 一個句子中有一個或數個決定整句的關鍵詞或短語，閱讀時學會抓住關鍵詞或短語，可以大大提高閱讀速度和效果。如The thief often steals Tom,s sheep。如果不認識steal這個詞，而thief 的詞義是「賊」，那麼將「賊」和「偷」聯系起來就是很自然的。在閱讀時，應把注意力集中在關鍵詞上，對其中詞語可以一帶而過，能否留下印象關系不大，切不可平均用力。

3.3 學會猜詞

閱讀英文，經常遇到不懂的詞是正常現象，但不要一遇到生詞就查字典翻資料找注釋，這樣做不但太費時間，還不一定能找出所需的解釋來。在以往的英語閱讀理解教學中，往往嚴格局限於課本和幾張為考試范圍的篇子， 採取強行灌輸和死記硬背的方式，以期取得高分，使高分的內涵演化成一定范圍內知識的精確度，而非是提高學生語言學習的能力，增長知識的目的。從而使得高分的學生思維逐漸僵化， 基礎較差得不到高分的學生逐漸失去學習的自信心和興趣。

總之，英語閱讀理解能力具有很強的實踐性，要靠學生自己通過長期的訓練進行培養。教師要充分利用教材的優勢，培養學生閱讀興趣，開發閱讀潛能，訓練閱讀技巧，提高閱讀水平，以達到提高學生英語閱讀理解綜合能力的目的。在英語閱讀理解的過程中，學生如果毫無興趣，閱讀理解很難進行。如果閱讀有趣，學生有很強的提高閱讀理解力的信心和願望， 閱讀理解才會很好地進行。所以，我們在教學中，要首先致力於培養學生學習英語的興趣，增加學生學好英語的信心。再逐漸教授閱讀理解的的方法和要點。

小學英語學習目標以聽說為主，大量的口頭表達，但是學生到了高年級，如只是聽說，學習能力發展不快。所以各種技能在小學都要培養，才能適應上中學後英語進一步的學習。

小學生，特別是中國的小學生，由於自然的學習環境還不是特別理想，沒有語境，所以需要大量的接觸英語素材、資料。

如四年級下，read and write 通過生動活潑的情景呈現趣味對話，擴展語言知識面，提高學生閱讀理解的能力。

五、六年級是通過真實、活潑的情景，提高學生閱讀理解的能力。力求通過真實自然的.語言情景來鞏固、拓展語言知識。

所以小學階段，即便是低年級階段我們也應該安排一些小故事，讓學生來閱讀，來表演，這樣能夠通過學習故事，表演故事，能夠有更多語言輸入。

聽、說、讀、寫中，要屬“讀”輸入最大，而讀中，屬默讀輸入量最大，朗讀是不思考地讀，如果真正理解，只有默讀。讓學生默讀，讓他眼睛看、心理想著，輸入量大而且也能很快理解，速度也快
