I don’t know who wrote these words but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

Reading the old man and the sea About the author Ernest Hemingway, one of the greatest American writers in 20th century, is the representative of 「lost generation」 writer. He was born on July 21, 1899, in Oak Park, Illinois. worked as a reporter after graating from high school in 1917.,amd served as an ambulance driver in the Italian infantry and was wounded just before his 19th birthday. Hospitalized, Hemingway fell in love with an older nurse.
In 1954, Hemingway was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. In his life, Hemingway married four times and wrote numerous essays, short stories and novels. The effects of Hemingway's lifelong depressions, illnesses and accidents caught up with him. In July 1961, he committed suicide in Ketchum, Idaho.
About the book The old man and the sea is one of Hemingway』s most enring works. Told in language of great simplicity and power , it is the story of an old Cuban fisherman ,down on his luck ,and his supreme ordeal ---a relentless , agonizing battle with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream . Here Hemingway recasts , in strikingly contemporary style, the classic theme of courage in the face of defeat , of personal triumph won from loss . Written in 1952 ,this hugely successfully novella confirmed his power and presence in the literary world and played a huge part in his winning the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature .
About the old man Santiago is described as a failure by other fishermen in the village for catching no fish for a long time . However, he should be regarded as a hero all his life , when he had played the hand game with the great Negro from Cienfuegos who was the strongest man on the docks ;when he fight with that large marlin ; when he struggle with the sharks . In Adler』s essay of What is A Great Book, he explain why we should read great books. I conclude it as follows.
First,great books are the most readable. They will not let you down ,if you read them well. The have more ideas per page than most books in the their entirety. This is why you can read a great book over and over again and never exhaust it contents.
Second ,great books are always contemporary,in contrast to the books we called contemporary,because they are currently popular ,last for a year or tow,or ten at most. You may probably can not recall the names of many earlier best sellers,and you may probably would not be interest in reading them. But the great are never out modeled by the movement of thought or the shifting winds of opinion .
Third ,great books are the most instructive. This follows the fact that they are original communications. They contain what cannot be found in other books. Whether you ultimately agree or disagree what they say. They are the primary teachers of mankind. They have made basic contribution to human right .

本學期的化學教學按計劃順利完成，以實際出發，注重全體學生在原有基礎上向前提高及格率，為了能進一步的提高教學質量，取得更好的教學效果，總結了幾條經驗：
一、本學期的教育教學方法
1. 積極認真的備課,由於第一次接觸九年級化學,對教材不夠熟悉,因此花了大量的時間在備課上,每一次新課我都認真研讀教材,教輔,而且寫教案時都是寫的詳案,這樣上起課來才能游刃有餘.由於經驗尚淺,我還經常去搜尋一些優秀教師的名師公開課,對比別人的知識點等等的處理學習別人的優點,使自己的教學最優化.
2. 課後作業認真及時批改及時反饋,每次批改作業時都做到每個人的作業完成情況心裡有數,這樣就保證了我對每個人知識掌握的理解,評講時知道哪些知識大家掌握的都不好,使作業評講更有針對性.
3. 努力提高自己的教學水平.為了提高自己的專業素養,認真研讀了《課程標准案例式導讀》、《初中化學教師專業能力必修》等書籍，此外積極去聽別的老師的公開課，積極參加市區組織的教學比賽等活動，每一次活動都收獲頗豐。在這些活動中也使我不斷進步。
4. 有時間我經常做中考題，關注中考熱點常考點，把握中考題型思路，這樣在平時的教學過程中對中考常考點重點就更加註重講解，使教學更有針對性，為自己後面的復習節約時間。
二、本學期工作存在的不足及改進方法：
1.對學生實驗沒有給學生及時做。由於實驗室儀器葯品不夠齊全，平時時間較緊等各種因素導致學生實驗沒有給學生做，這是以後必須要改正的，化學是一門是實驗為基礎的科學，實驗不僅加強學生學習的興趣也是培養學生科學素養動手能力的一個途徑，在化學上實驗是尤為重要的，以後一定克服各種因素及時做實驗。 2.對學生的管理監督不夠，由於兩個班中很多學生的學習態度自控能力比較差，沒有老師的.監督很多學習任務不按時完成，作業不按時交，這樣一來必然影響學生的學習。因此以後要加大對學生的管理，對於學生不正確的行為及時給予指正，學生的不良行為如果不及時改正養成不良習慣就很難改正。
3.對基礎薄弱的學生課下輔導不夠。由於很對學生基礎薄弱，不僅學習態度不積極學習起來也比較吃力，對於這樣的後進生首先在思想上要端正態度，然後有課後的輔導才能跟上教學進度。下學期要重視對後進生的輔導，另外要鼓勵學生主動和老師溝通，不會的問題及時問老師，基礎薄弱的學生作業直接面批改正等措施，想辦法讓所有學生都能跟上教學進度。
4.注意基礎較好的學生和基礎較差學生上課的區別，備課時認真備學生，因材施教，保證每節課每個學生都有所收獲，都能參與到教學過程中來，特別是基礎薄弱的要提高參與度，提高學生學好化學的信心。
5.這學期教研方面還要加強，要堅持寫教學反思教學筆記，積極思
考教學中遇到的問題及改進辦法。另外多做教研，做一名研究型教師，平時多加強各方面的學習，多些反思感想，長此以往才能有大的進步。

People will try their best to write the things in their stage in their way. When we read books, we have the opportunity to learn everything. The content in the books contains the knowledge all over the world and every aspect. We can read the knowledge about biography, science, technology, culture, economic and so on from the book. It is hard not to broaden vision from reading.
Secondly, reading can cultivate our taste. I am sure that reading some elegant sentence or the beautiful things described in the book will make us feel relax and comfortable. And we all know that the more knowledge a person has, the better-behaved he will be. I think this is the charming of reading. If there are more people like reading, the world will become more civilized.
The importance mentioned above just a part of reading. It has so many advantages that I can』t list all in a short time. It is irreplaceable in human beings』 life.
