(一)A friend of mine was fond of drawing horse. He drew the horses very well,but he always began the tail. Now it is the Western rule to begin at the head of the horse, that is why I was surprised. It struck me that it could not really make any difference whether the artist begins at the head or the tail or the belly（肚子） or the foot of the horse, if he really knows his business. (二)When you are learning English, you find it not clever to put an English sentence, word for word, into your own language. Take the sentence “How do you do?” as an example. If you look up each word in the dictionary, one at a time, what is your translation? It must be a wrong sentence I your own language.
Language do not just have different sounds, they are different in many ways. It’s important to master(掌握) the rules(规则) for word order in the study of English, too. If the sentences put words in a wrong order, the listeners can’t understand the speakers’ sentences easily. Sometimes when the order is changed, the meaning of the sentence doesn’t change. 要想在中考中考高分，一定要扩大自己的词汇量。
你可以从现在起每天记10个单词，回不一定要强求答自己全都记住，因为初三面对的不光是英语。但是只要每天都坚持记了，到中考的时候你不是就比别人多掌握了很多单词吗？
英语的大块就是阅读理解和完型填空了。
做一定量的阅读和完型的题会有助于你考出好成绩的。
我觉得英语就不同于数理化了，英语的题绝对是做得越多越好。但是我们并没有这么多时间，所以我建议每天可以做5篇阅读2篇完型。定时做，这个时间可以定为40分钟。而且也不一定是在一个连续的时间里做，平时下课或者自习课时，只要有时间都可以做。
另外，每天有必要加强听力的训练。平时老师课堂上放的和复习阶段做的听力练习也许能应付中考，但不足以增强语感，所以我建议你每天可以自己再多做一篇听力练习，这会对你做阅读理解、完型填空以及作文很有帮助。
